Lightcarbon: New LCR017-D (or Yishun R1058-D)

My order arrived last week, about a month after placing the order, and everything looks ok so far. I'm just waiting on other components to arrive so I can build it up.

My Alcavi V1 which I believe is a LC frame but it’s supposed to be a Toray1000. Quality seems to be on point. 4 rides and no issues thus far.

Do you know if the seatpost completely proprietary, or are there alternatives available? I bought the one with offset, but I’d like to try a straight version. The problem is that ordering it from Lightcarbon would cost more in shipping than the seatpost itself.

I finished building mine up this weekend and took it for a 40km ride and it seems good so far. I'm looking forward to putting some decent wheels on it but it seems faster than my old Ribble R872 and the mechanical shifting is crisper than the Ultegra R6800 on that despite the tight internal cable runs. I just need to find a way to stop the front brake hose rattling in the fork on uneven tarmac descents.

I am 192cm tall. Would 58 size frame be big enough for me? Lighcarbon website claim that even 56  could fit but I dought. Is there anyone similar to my height that have this frame?

That was exactly my point. I do not expect that either.  However, when I asked the same question to LightCarbon representative they sent me a size chart table that claim that 56 size frame support riders up to 193cm which I dissregarded as correct.

LightCarbon representative also told me to measure my stem lenght (which is 87cm) and compare it with bike standover height which for 83.13cm for 58 size frame. Bike standover height should be 2-3cm shorter than rider's stem lenght which in my case is 4cm shorter. Hence my question if anyone of my size or even taller ride 58 size frame ?

I really like this frame but it sounds that there is no chinese frame that support my height. The similar problem I have with tantan X68 frame. Thier 58 size has even smaller bike standover height.

Well you can try those aero frames with endurance geometry like LCR018 and just put in aero wheelset and get a long stem.

I am 1,86m and (if I remember well) 89cm inseam.
I took the 58cm (LCR017) after comparing it with the XL Inflite I am (mis)using as road bike and I'm confident it is the right choice even if I'm still building it.
I opted for stem + handelbar (instead of cockpit) because I'm using mech shifting (and I'm so happy I did) and I took additionally a shorter 100mm stem as back-up just in case.

I've  very little time to spare for the build and it will take another while, but I'm making progresses.
Brakes are mounted and bleeded, even if I'll repeat the bleeding for the rear one since I'm not happy yet.
FD is mounted and set.
RD is mounted
Next up are chain and setting the RD.
Bottom bracket and crank set also also done just like the seat post.

After a test ride I'll proceed cutting the fork shaft and that is one more reason why I'm happy of the stem+handlebar solution.
Otherwise I'd probably have to disconnect the front brake.

The overall quality is very good and I'm amazed of the many small pieces delivered along which make life easier.

Has anyone got a good solution for securing a di2 battery within the frame/seatpost with the provided rubber bits

BTW is there anyone here who is 176cm and chose the size 54 frame? I am trying to decide if I'll choose 52 or 54.
