I've never had a UD derailleur hanger before. I don't know what they look like. There's nothing about them on their website. So, no?

It looks like a UDH mount and completely different to the rear stay of mine, so they must have updated the frame.

Hi all,

I’ve read through many many pages on this thread.

I’m almost ready to buy this frame but I have one major concern.

How stiff is the frame? A couple of posts mention flex in passing.

For context, I’m 85kg and do love a bit of a sprint, nothing earth shattering ( I got old  ;) ) but 1300 watts, or 800w for a minute.

So I am worried that this frame won’t suit me.

Can any one who has the frame and regularly puts out 1000w comment?

Hi!

We are about the same in physical proportions and ability, and think you would have no worries with stiffeness.
(my third season on the bike now) Just get a pair of wheels that match in stiffeness.

I'll quote myself;

I can confirm they have updated the rear derailleur hanger on the LCR017-D. I received my new frame in mid April.
I wasn't sure about it when I first fitted it, but the rear wheel goes into position easily and the gear changes are sharp with my SRAM Red derailleur

Hi all,
Really enjoying reading the threads.  I have a question on sizing:
I'm 170cm - 171cm tall, and plan to order the 49cm frame size with 20mm offset and 380*90mm stem and handlerbar.  Reading the LC website, this is what it recommends for me.
Wanting to ask the LCR017 owners that are my height, will this frame size and specs fit me or should I go for 52cm size.?
Thanks all.

I am 180 cm and ride 54 cm with the shortest stem and 0 mm offset. As there is no much difference between the 52 and 54 except the 54 being a bit taller, I would suggest going with a 49 and opting for a longer stem and/or 20 mm offset.

Similar question. Thinking of getting this frame, but can't figure out what size frame I should get. I know i can change seatpost/handlebar later once I get a bike fit.

I'm 5'8". Is there any other measurement I need to do?

See your bike fitter before ordering one. That is what i did.

Based on your height, I would recommend a size 52 and probably a 0-degree seatpost (to be confirmed depending on your riding style).

Are you sure ?

this is a 52 with 0 offset and 100 mm
my measurements are 165 cm with a tall torso and short legs I pedal to 64,5  cm

Height alone doesn't really tell you what size bike would fit. Leg/torso/arm length plus flexibility have a big bearing on fit. I'm 5'10 with short legs but long arms so I'm riding a 56 with 400/100 HBR17 bars and 15mm of spacers. I could just as easily ride a 54 with a longer stem and more spacers but prefer the look of a longer headtube as opposed to more spacers.

The reach difference between the 49 and 54 is 5.7mm. The 52 and 54 have the same reach. I ride a 54 and I'm 178cm tall. I could have gone for a 52, but I didn't want a 120mm head tube. The 141mm allows me to slam the stem. Don't forget that their new handlebars are raised on the outside. Check out Samuel BMR's posts and videos on YouTube; he rides a 52 at 175cm tall.

At 180 cm tall, this was exactly the same thinking process when deciding between sizes 52 and 54 (with an older handlebar/stem combo)

Hi! I'm also 170cm tall with an 80cm inseam and I've been looking at the exact same dilemma.

Personally, I also believe the 49cm is the correct frame size for our height. However, because the 49cm frame has a shorter headtube, I really want to avoid stacking too many headset spacers to get the right handlebar height

I went to see a bike fitter. At ~173 cm tall with inseam of 79cm, the largest frame I can get is 520 due to the standover height  >:( . I was recommended to get the size 52 with 100/380 handlebar. Will have to run a chimney stack of spacers to get Bar XY of  460/595.

Unfortunate.
