Lightcarbon: New LCR017-D (or Yishun R1058-D)

It's actually coming from the area marked as red where the clamp attaches to the body of the seat post. When I apply a bit more force by hand to the front/back of the seat, the clamp slips and I am able to rotate the seat vertically.

An update: today, I received the replacement seat post, haven't installed it yet but it looks promising. It appears that they added an anti-slip coating to the problematic area. Let's see how it plays out ...

All in all, the warranty claim procedure turned out great.

Used the ones provided with 105 brakes (160 front, 140 back).

Hey all! Is there any chance that Schwalbe G-One Allround 35mm will fit into this frame? I ride a "gravel" bike and thinking about building one more on LCR017-D or LCG071 frame, but still an all-rounder (no pun intendent). Both looks fine but I like LCR017-D's sleeker look more. In short I ride mostly city roads and very shitty city roads, sometimes dirt roads and trails, so these tires are perfect for me and I need a strong frame with some extra tire clearance which will forgive me surprise potholes, big asphalt cracks, bunny hops, curbs etc. Any recommendations?

Honestly I dont think u can fit 35 into the 017. I have gp5000 32 and there is not much clearance left next to the bottom bracket. I can try to measure one of these days

Random Story Time:

I've been having my business suits custom made from a factory in China. Customer direct. You select your fabrics/buttons/style, measure yourself at home, and have a ready made suit in like 4 weeks. The price is ridiculously cheap for what you get. And the fit is better than anything you'd get off the rack from a department store.

After 6 years of doing this I realize the communication and process is identical to dealing with these OEM frame companies. They just want your money. The answer is always "Yes." Whenever I have an issue with the fit of my suit and I send them a photo to analyze, they always respond with: "we checked with our department of bespoke tailors and pattern cutters."

I never believe them because it's all just auto-cad and machine work. They want me feel assured as if they're being proactive speaking with their experts. But again they just want me to keep buying. The difference here is an ill-fitting suit won't have me risking my collarbone and front teeth.

I have a lot of generic tools but not a lot of specific tools for bikes and bike assembly.

Which tools would I certainly need to assemble this frame/bike when it arrives?
- LCR017-D
- Wheelset from lightcarbon
- Probably with GP5000 tubeless

That way I can buy them and not need to wait on them once the frame arrives.

I highly recommend torque wrench. Cassette tool as standard, a specific BB tool might be also required depending on your choice of BB, bleeding kit for hydraulic brakes, internal routing tool (at least for the handlebar) etc. According to my experience no other specific tools are required. In my case, all was purchased via AliX for pennies (except for torque wrench which set me back 50 EUR).

The actual tire width is 33.6mm. There’s 4mm of clearance on each side remaining near the BB side, where the clearance is the narrowest.

Update on my frame :
First contact made with Wendy on 06/04/25, with the frame arriving in 07/05/2025. Just over a month from first enquiry to arriving at my door in the UK seemed really quick.

At a glance, the frame looks good with all threaded/pressed faces machined and tidy. I had it painted in a solid yellow colour but the fork is noticeably brighter (almost luminous whereas the frame is not) but after speaking with Wendy she doesn't agree with me despite several people seeing the frame and agreeing there are two colours... Annoying but what can I do? This doesn't affect the performance.

The bike will be assembled with dura ace 9170 and scribe 60mm aero wide carbon clinchers and I'll post some photos when it's built.

I didn't realize that bit of the RD had to sit on the the hanger like it does in the photo. After installing the chain there wasn't any tension and for longer than I care to admit, I didn't realize what the problem was.

Yes, I used the wrong adapter first, so a tiny amount spilled. Rest was fine.
