XDR Road Cassette

Wondering if anyone has any recommendation or avoid XDR road cassettes? Looking for 10-33 combo and noticed Ztto is selling one now https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004457759283.html also Goldix is selling one.

Anyone have experience with any Aliexpress XDR road cassette and how's the shift performance and durability?

I find lightly used and sometimes new SRAM XDR cassettes are becoming much cheaper on ebay. I've picked up a few over the last few weeks because I'm a hoarder.

Quoting myself because mobile cuts off my post. 75usd for a 10-28 force and 85 usd for 10-33. I don't have experience with the mentioned ZTTO, but tbh I'd just get a used SRAM if the price was right.

I ordered the cassette from AliExpress (Goldix xdr 12s) and it has maybe 3000 km. I used it for cyclocross racing and training, most of the kilometers were on the road. It runs quietly with a standard sram and shimanksy chain and has always shifted perfectly. I can understand in case of the sprocket made of alloy, but have you ever seen broken steel teeth on Shimano, Sram or Campagnolo cassettes?

I'm using the Goldix XDR cassettes with no problems so far. Though I would use these cassettes unless on an immersive waxed chain and the precision shifting of an electronic groupset. Periodically I also clean the cassette with boiling hot water to remove any excess wax build up to keep everything spotless. Greased chains will eventually break everything, regardless of OEM and 3rd party lightweight parts alike.

I'm using those for quite a long time, for Avenger I have 10-36 and for Elves 10-33, both working great, the weight as declared by producer. I used them even with non flattop chain, and they worked well however a bit noiser.

I have ztto 9-50 that was on my gravel bike, ztto 10-44 thats on my road bike and 11-36 goldix that on my tri bike.

They all work, shift ok, but the noise is way more noticeable than on brand cassettes: it was bothering me so much on gravel that i went and replaced it with the sram rival, and I'm really tempted to do the same on road.

it seems the machining is just not as good as shimano or sram ones - if You are not bothered by sound, go for it, otherwise I'd rather look on 2nd hand market for cassettes removed from new bikes that the owner wants to spec differently - can get really great deals

Yes, instead of buying super light cassettes like Goldix https://it.aliexpress.com/item/1005009758509213.html (which I would have liked to buy until a few weeks ago) I prefer to go for Ultegra

I got Goldix 10-44 12sp casette. When running it with a non-flattop chain (Eagle X01) it's noisy as hell. I wonder whether using a flattop chain might work better. But my front chainring is also Goldix and there they explicetly say it's not flat-top compatible.

I have tried multiple goldix and ztto cassettes. They all work/shift fine, but they have been unbearably noisy. In each case I have given up and purchased an actual SRAM or Shimano cassette. I don't know why they cant figure this out. Otherwise they appear to be very high quality parts.

I am very bothered by a noisy drivetrain. I have friends that claim they can't even hear it. Lucky them.

In another thread I have posted about creaking noise from my Spcycle SP-R088 frame. I finally narrowed down the issue to the Goldix 12sp XDR lightweight cassette (this one: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005008975588907.html) or the rear hub itself (I am using wheels by Serenade, and the hub is generously greased). One interesting thing is that as soon as I only hand-tight the cassette onto the hub -- as opposed to torquing it down fully -- the issue disappears. Has anyone had a similar problem, and how did you resolve it? Can I even be sure that this is an issue with a cassette and not the hub?

I’ve used the ZTTO 12 speed ULT cassettes on a couple of road bikes without issues. One of them is used when I’m at work and generally is treated poorly, meaning it never gets cleaner is runs in a very hot/humid environment that quickly corrodes the chain at which time I just add some more oil to the chain. Despite that abuse it continues to work well with my Wheeltop EDS TX group set.
