Anyone using a gravel suspension fork yet?
« on: August 28, 2023, 01:57:27 PM »
Hi all, hope all is good.

I'm thinking about picking up a Lexon "GRV120" gravel suspension fork. 40/50mm of travel, 700c, air suspension. Only thing is: I can't find any reviews.

I dont suppose anyone on here would have seen or used one...?

thanks

I like the idea but that is only half the travel of a suspension stem.

I don't know I would try the stem first that would be a bunch of weight to push around for not much travel.

I have a buddy add a suspension fork to his gravel bike. I thought there wasn't much benefit for the additional weight gain, especially since we do quite a bit of climbing in our area. I'd rather get max width gravel tires and possibly a suspension stem.

Had a gravel race a few weeks ago. A fast pace with limited visibility as dust was going all over. A suspension fork would've been nice when hitting rough stuff unexpectedly.
That said, I think something like a Lauf fork makes the most sense on a gravel bike. No maintenance required and way less weight.

As for these aliexpress forks, I haven't bit the bullet yet because I'm not sure I'd like how they may affect geo/handling.
