Hello everyone. Does any of the users had the issue with the freehub where ratchet does not engage properly?
After servicing my wheel and replacing bearings in LBS I occasionaly experience abrupt loss of freehub engagement, i.e. freehub spins freely in both directions without meaningful resistance and I can't pedal. I did not manage to replicate the problem at home but usually it happens after higher torque efforts - once you stop pedaling at this torque I lose engagement. No issues in steady state efforts or when sprinting (on big gears).
One thing I also noticed at high speeds, once you stopped pedalling, the chain keeps moving for several links with freehub inertia instead of stopping right away - feels like a slight "kick" from the pedals.
The only thing that helps in the field is to remove freehub body together with the casette and push it back. Upon inspection I don't see anything wrong with inners of the freewheel which is frustrating.
I tried to look up this issue for DT ratchets, found some explanations but it doesn't seem like the grease issue...
