How does cable routing work if I use a standard stem and handle bar rather than a single piece handlebar/stem combination? Are there other openings in the frame for the cables or only through an integrated bar/stem headset?

Ludo

No opening but the frame come with headset cover meant to be used with regular stem, the cover has 3 holes in it to run you cabling through it

Ludo; Do you have a contact (email) of someone at Yuan An wheels? I have sent them inquiries via their website but getting no replies.  Are you still happy with the wheels you got from them. Thanks

Ludo

It has been posted by a couple of guys these last few days that they don't do direct to customer anymore. Get from elite wheels or covet (their new brand apparently) on AliExpress. Some good coupons right now.

Thanks, I reached out to Elite Wheels. Could not find 33mm wide 29er wheels at <1300g online (1500g was the lightest) but hoping can find some 1280g wheels like you did.

The mountain wave wheel set 29er32mm inner width weighs about 1300g. You can also replace the regular rims. AliExpress will start the anniversary promotion today, and the price will be discounted

I ordered this frame and was wondering what is the best choice for a Shimano crankset working together with a 12sp XT cassette. Is it the fc-m8100 or the fc-m8120?  The latter seems to be more suitable for a wider Q factor but it's my first build so not sure.

Build complete. No problems, everything went together well.  Have only done a couple of short test rides but loving this frame so far. Light, responsive, climbs well. Building a second one now for my wife. Total weight ~ 20lbs/9.1 kg.

My spcycle has now 3000km without any isues, a very good frame. My build is a size L frame with x0 t type, full carbon, 1300 carbon wheels, xcadey power meter, fox 32, shimano pd m540 and it weights 9,1kg

I did my first Xterra triathlon event in Austin a couple of weeks ago, bike performed flawlessly outside of an issue with the saddle rotating up. I got a few question on the frame and compliment on the paint. I don't think it was the right back for the terrain as there were a lot of of rock beds/climbs but still manage a time close in the good pack (12th out of 70ish runner I think) on the bike leg and I now regret not having ordered the M868 frame before the tariff kicked in...

Anyone knows what type of headset I need to buy to make it work with this frame and a "Syncros" handlebar/stem combo from Ali?

I have ordered a frame with the same headset typ but without the actual headset :) And I have ordered the handlebar/stem combo already. But now i am pretty lost in whats needed headsetwise to make this work. Any ideas are more than welcome!

I have found this one: https://r2-bike.com/SYNCROS-Headset-tapered-integrated-Drop-In-SHIS-IS52-318-IS52-40

Or is it this one: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/133895760078?chn=ps&_ul=GB&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=710-169684-019962-0&mkcid=2&itemid=133895760078&targetid=325425753764&device=c&mktype=pla&googleloc=9062465&poi=&campaignid=20637590555&mkgroupid=156071835804&rlsatarget=pla-325425753764&abcId=&merchantid=115090110&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=20637590555&gbraid=0AAAAAD_QDh-y34s6EVKsC53aiJaglzusr&gclid=CjwKCAjwvO7CBhAqEiwA9q2YJXF-MVrrEpV38B7ZhcC4iVNQGCTs-ndHZz7bH7dg60o2aseYtSOWHhoCp5gQAvD_BwE

And no extra dustcover top?

So many questions now :)

The syncros spacers guide the hoses on the side rather than middle IIRC, so the C ring need to have a large cut out. I will look in my build pictures if I can see what I mounted
