Hard reset the mech like 10-20 times and have it plugged into the charger. I revived a dead ER9 RD that way and since then haven't had issues. I even sent a video to 80 Design Store, they sent me a replacement, but I revived the RD so I ended up with a spare! 

I've tried a bunch of times already, but I'll give it a go later. Hopefully it comes back to life.

It worked!
Was about to give up. Then the green light stayed on continuously after one of the resets and I heard the mechanism zip back to life.

And it’s dead again, but I think I’ve identified the problem. It’s doing the same exact thing Luke’s did in his install video. Same clicking noise. The mech thinks it’s further up the cassette than it actually is and won’t reset properly. Almost dropped the chain into the chainstay.

Confirmed the issue when it came back to life. Mech is on the smallest cog, but thinks it’s on the biggest cog. Long press is supposed to fix that, but it’s not working. Might have to take it apart and manually reset it like in the Trace Velo did.

Ok. Had to delete and reinstall app and completely redo everything. It’s at least moving through the gears now but I’ll have to index it all over again tomorrow. I’m done tinkering for today lol!😝

Sent a message to the store to confirm if this will the the version supporting 13 speed or not since title says 11 and 12 but the photos below say 13. Either way I'm gonna risk it and try out the integrated battery, my er7 has been flawless so far so fingers crossed most of the waterproofing issues have been resolved.

Yeah, a few days ago when I messaged 80 designer store about a possible replacement mech they said they're discontinued and wait for the new one. They then offered to sell me a right shifter and mech. Hopefully this doesn't mean the new stuff is incompatible.

Also, I had got me egr shifting nice and crisp and was ready to ride this morning.
Then realized I hadn't saved the settings. Doh!

Ok. Now that my eGR is up and running again I'll do the water proofing I should've done in the first place.

To be ULTRA CLEAR, is it just the battery cable port that needs it, or the charging port as well?

I just picked a small tube of dielectric grease from the auto store and smear it around the port. Also for good measure I brush on some Elmer's rubber cement which provides another layer of protection and adhesion. I never tried putting the grease inside the port, I'd just be worried in might interfere with conductivity. Both the grease and rubber cement easily come off as well. I've done this with all my LTwoo groupsets. This is probably why my groupsets runs better than most who've had failures.

I've compared my eGR to my friend's 12 speed GRX Di2 and the eGR isn't far off if not equal in terms of shift performance. Wheeltop GeX on the other hand has better sealing and ease of installation, but the app adjustments suck, lever ergonomics are terrible and shift performance is slower. With eGR I can just easily dump gears and shift under pedal load.

I messaged 80 designer store with couple of questions and while some of them got their meaning lost in translation i got a reply with some valuable information.

- According to them any eGR RD should have the ability to get 13 speed upgrade in APP but it is not recommended as their have different cage design and might go into wheel spokes.

- New shifters are not compatible with the old eGR generation so if you want to upgrade it is necessary to swap both the shifter and RD.

So overall the possibility to upgrade old gens to 13 speed is nice but very disappointing to see that in case of RD or shifter failure for old gen, we will be forced to swap both of them as there is no backwards compatibility

I asked few more questions but their exact meaning got lost in translation and the response i got was not accurate to the question, but based on clues they answered that attaching FD to old gen and using left shifter for it is possible but for new gen getting rid of shifting function on left shifter makes any conversion to 2x not possible.

I would be very interested if anyone could verify new RD compatibility with old version of shifter. Also despite their claims i still did not recieve any updates for my RD and i do not see a possibility for 13 speed on blue version so their comments might not be accurate.

My new gen egr is in the US now and then my buddy has to ship it to me, but I have some gen 1 erx shifters laying around that I can test if they can pair. I may be wrong but isnt the brain of the system in the RD so even if you paired a FD to a egr rd, wouldn't it still not work?

Honestly I have no clue, as I said this is what i got from 80 designer store. But suprsingly when trying to update my shifters today they displayed their name as 'eRX version 3 shifter' so it seems the shifters might be exactly the same as eRX with just changed branding and obviously removed buttons from one of them.

I did see couple of comments of people attempting it and some even claimed to be successful on various facebook forums but I have yet to see proof of it. I might attempt it myself once i manage to grab eR9 fully wireless FD and check if it will work.

Now on different topic but did anyone have any issues with updating their eGR RD? I have been trying various things for entire day due to 80 designer store claiming it can support 13 speed but so far no luck and i have been locked to v0.0.1 firmware version.
