Unfortunately, at the moment, it's a bit of a moot point. At 124% tariff rates (today, who knows tomorrow), the pricing gets to be a problem in the USA. Anything arriving now to stock up would be subject to that rate. So local stock won't really help pricing. Sure, Wheeltop will see the same. But AFAIK, SRAM is made in Taiwan and Shimano is partly PRC but mostly other countries. So the discounted prices of the Big S products will not be far from the tariffed prices of the newcomers.

The direct import de minimis exemption is still in place but only until EOD May 2nd at this time.

Great news! Did they say if they will stock parts locally (in the USA) so that customers don't have to go through all the hassle of ordering from China now that de minimis is ending?

I highly doubt it. My contact in China told me local cyclists have the exact same complaints about LTwoo as we do. They're equally as bad domestically when it comes to customer service, revisions on the fly and using customers as beta testers. On top of that, Shimano components are much cheaper with ample spare parts in China, so there's less incentive for them to try alternative groupsets.

On a side note, my contact told me Sensah has filed their electronic groupset patent, so there's going to be another player in the electronic groupset market.

That's disappointing. Once de minimis exemption ends and whatever the tariffs kick in, I don't think anyone is ordering $300 electronic groupsets from Aliexpress. Back to eBay and FBMP hunting for groupsets I guess.

That Sensah has been coming for a looooong time! And now, I have a feeling it will be the same price as a used 105 Di2 give or take. Basically leaving it for people who like to tinker with beta/unreliable stuff e.g us on this forum.

I ordered the replacement cage from the 80 store, held it up against my old cage, and it's a 'like-for-like' replacement (unfortunately).

I didn't ask for the new one, and after reading these posts, I wish I had!

Yeah, I'm all for continual improvement in products. Many enhancements or fixes are appropriate to roll out in process without any marketing or other active outreach. But it sure would be nice if there were a changelog and/or some sort of versioning documented on the part (even if obscure like Canon used to do with their lenses).

My beautiful, but sometimes somewhat annoying fiancé did a big 'clean of the garage' so I need to check with her where she might have put them, but it's two pieces (in two ziplock bags).

One piece is the long side of the cage, the other is the short side of the cage. (identical to what you and I both damaged). I'll post a pic when I track them down.

I would appreciate it, if for no other reason than to show the picture to 80s Designer Store next time I try to order one so I can receive BOTH pieces. I received only the "long" side of the cage, which is not terribly useful on its own. I guess it's better than no replacement cage pieces.

I am keen to know if anyone has this setup, ifworks well and if you need to change the pulley wheels to suit the flattop chain?

I can confirm that it shifts very well and the jockey wheels play well with an axs flattop chain. Tested with a 10-36 12 speed Rival cassette, 12 speed Rival flattop chain, and a Force 1 46t crankset.

I have been riding my eGR bike regularly past few weeks. One thing that stands out is how good the brakes are.

My other bikes are various Shimano hydros and comparatively these feel much better as far as lever feel and modulation goes. May be I have set up Shimano hydros incorrectly or LTWoo is really better I will never know but this is my observation. The brake pads took more than usual time for bed-in but once they did, performance is fantastic.

Secondly, the batteries that came in the groupset were bad. From 100% charge it went down to 67% in just one ride of approximately 30 miles. Not sure if those are faulty. Thankfully I had ordered a set of Vapcell F12 (https://liionwholesale.com/products/vapcell-f12-14500-3a-flat-top-1250mah-battery-genuine?variant=40620938330181) before the groupset so I replaced brand new batteries with Vapcell and after clocking in about 120 miles, the battery % shows at 91 - quite a drastic difference. I am guessing the battery life to get better after a few charge cycles.

Can anyone help with eGR activation? Mine came without charging cable, the seller resent the cable, but I'll have to wait for a month until I'll get it. I fully charged my accums, connected them to rear derailleur and got no reaction from the derailleur, no green blinks, nothing. In YT video they say I need the charging cable to activate for the first time. Can anyone measure voltage and polarization of original charger output, so I could try to emulate charging with mine universal tunable charger?

I don't have a voltage tool to check output. Can you try activating by unplugging and plugging the battery cable? In the meantime you can charge batteries in a universal battery charger.
