My easedon wheelset just arrived. Ordered on 10th July so took about 21 days to arrive.

Ordered these https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006177590774.html in configuration "40mm Deep, UD Matte, 28mm Wide, Fly Weight, HG" and i requested no logos and external nipples.

Stupidly I didn't notice the spoke holes on the product page, so I need to wait for some rim tape to arrive before I can fit them.

They weigh in at 1285g without rim tape, which is only ~100g lighter than my 50mm, 28mm wide Farsports with DT240 hubs that I got back in 2021 (although they were double the price!), that don't need rim tape.

I can't see any visible thread on the spokes, and I just about see that the spoke fills the nipple, when looking through the spoke hole.

But anyway, they look really nice and I'm looking forward to getting them on my new RO88 build, where they'll be using RideNow 36g TPU tubes and Conti GP5000 (non-TR)

I destroyed my rear rim on easedon mtb wheelset. They offered me new rim for the price -100 USD from listed. Just FYI. Otherwise no big issues with them.

What kind of impact was it? Were you running low air pressure? Any rim can break with the right (wrong?) kind of impact, so more details would be appreciated.

hey @frewster, I assume that I had a slow leak that I hadn't noticed. Blunt impact went trough and killed the rim. I can't blame the rim tbh. Although the impact itself didn't feel like nuclear blast which you could say it was just looking at the rim.

Now I'm wondering about new wheels for a road bike - Easedon vs Tagoola:-)

I can recommand Tagoola. I am very happy with my wheelset.

Hi guys, they have this new rim in stock. What do you think abou itt? I'd like to run it on a road setup. I'm thinking 32 mm Wide Tire. What is unusual for me is that the widest point of the rim is not near the bead but in a lower point. Does that make sense from aero perspective? Rim attached.

Many vendors on Ali now selling this rims. I've bought it from IT TO store as I had best communication with them. Goldix 240sl and pillar spokes 45/50mm 1319g and am amazed how good they are. Mounted 32 veloflex corsa.

I paid US$388 delivered which includes a 10% tax us suckers in Australia have to pay. This doesn't include a US$40 cashback through a 3rd party app (which I have since received) and aliexpress shopping credit of US$33.

Wheel specs are 25mm inner,  32mm outer, 50mm deep, standard steel spokes, and the mid weight rim option (the lightest option was not recommended even though I weigh 72kg). Weight was 1360g bare which is acceptable to me.

Wheel tension was even (max deviation was 1 measurement unit on the park tool tension meter), wheel was true lateral and radial, a peek inside each spoke hole shows sufficient engagement with the nipple (ie not sticking out too far or too recessed in).

Done about 600km over the past few weeks and I am happy with the purchase. Will pickup a 30mm inner version for my gravel bike on 11.11.

What tire width do you intend to ride on the 30mm inner width?

Currently running 45mm but I'll probably change to 50mm when they wear out.

I've ordered 4 sets of wheels now from Easedon and to be honest they've all been fantastic, espeically considering the price. The communication with the seller is easy, you get to construct the wheel the way you want (finish, spoke type, access holes, even weight/strength options), and when there was a shipping issue with one of the sets they helped me resolve it quickly. I tried something new on the latest set ordering carbon spokes without access holes and while it took them a little longer to build in this configuration, the wheels look great and I'm looking forward to trying them very soon. I would recommend them to anyone with confidence.

Just ordered their carbon rims for $140 USD including shipping to Canada taking advantage of ali may holiday sale. 25mm internal wide/32mm external wide UV shape 65mm deep.

Required thorough communication with the seller to confirm spoke length for internal hidden nipples. They suggested +8mm for my case from the calculated spoke length.

560g per rim for the standard weight with steel spokes is going to be a 1700g wheelset :'( but seller suggested standard weight for durability.

Definitely only for flat crits, but not many 25mm internal wide 65mm deep wheelsets in the 400 to 450 USD range.
