okey but both? sorry for my misunderstanding but i don't get it. why would tideace send the "wrong" bearings? or is it just a fail to send the 36 degree. should they send one with 36 and one with 45?

The send 45/45 degree because its the most common standard. Only FSA ACR and Deda ICR systems are using 45/36 degree bearings as far as I know. So you have to use their headsets anyway. Most 1-piece-handlebars are using C rings for 45 degree bearings so Tideace and Tantan are sending 45/45 bearings for top and bottom.

okey, got it! but in my case using the FSA ACR No55r headset i am using the FSA 36 on top with the FSA c-ring and the 45 i ordered for the fork?
Sorry...should be my last question..

attached the headset i ordered. so i am using it like in the image. only the lower bearing on the fork i switch to the 45/45?

Yes, you will use only top bearing including c ring and cover.

I just want to leave a side note here to all people getting fear mongered with bad bars: do not discard bad installment. Carbon must be be attentivly installed with regards to Torque to spec, much else use appropriate carbos paste and be observed.

I bought LT’s GV201. I’m impressed with the frame and the quality of the paint and the overall build. FYI, I installed Ritchey’s WCS Switch headset (internal routing) and fits perfectly on this frame.

Unfortunately, the geometry didn’t work for me, so I’m posting it for sale

Yes sir! I installed that one myself. It’s one from Trek. Perfect fit. If interested in specifics, it is called “Trek 2021 Procaliber 29 Downtube Armor”.

My GR201 frame has also arrived, so the build can finally begin!

I know this topic has been covered a million times, but I’d appreciate some help regarding the headset.

I’m planning to use the stock Tantan integrated handlebar along with the provided headset.

I’ve read that I should avoid the aluminum compression ring because it can cause the fork to wobble. However, I’d rather not spend €50 on an FSA or Deda headset since I’ve already paid for the Tantan one. Is it possible to just swap the compression ring for something else (like a plastic one) to keep the fork stable? If so, could you recommend one (perhaps something available on AliExpress)?
