A new headset will not solve the issue as the Tantan uses proprietary spacers. I dont think there is any other C ring available that will fit this handlebar.

I used the deda dcr 45x45 nylon compression ring as I metioned some posts above. Works great. No rattling. The gap is about 2 mm. For me it is fine. You could also sand it down like 1mm then it is perfect.

I have Tan Tan C ring. Replaced it with Grentin from Ali. Hade to make som spacers made from carbon 1.4 sheets of carbon. Copied with router.

A few days ago, I ordered a frame with fork via WhatsApp from Tideace.
Everything went quickly and smoothly. I'm currently waiting for the frame to be painted and shipped.
The color is UD matte finish - raw carbon. 

 BTW. Anyone bought wheel rims from XYZ carbon company? I'm looking for some topic on the forum, but don't find any reviews. It's worth mentioning that they sell rims for wheel building. There's a large selection.

I ordered mine on november 19th. Still no shipping label or tracking information received.
I asked for an update from Jessi a few weeks ago, and she said I would receive the shipping label the week after. Sadly over a week has gone past that moment as well...

Just wondering if I'm the only one or they really can't keep up with demand.

I was ordering my GR201 frame from Tantan on 24.11.2025. I was in contact with Jessi as well. The frame was shipped on 12.12.2025, so the production needed roughly 3 weeks. Shipping with DPD to Europe needed around further 3 weeks and the frame arrived finally on 05.01.2026. So, the complete process was not longer than 6 weeks from paying.

For me everything went smoothly, I can't complain. Did you have any special request for the painting or anything else?

For anyone interested, I mailed Tantan. These are the Torque values for the GR201

handlebar=8-10nm
saddle clamp=4-5NM
seatpost clamp=8-10NM
rear hanger=3NM
Bottle cage hole=3NM
thru axle =9-13NM
headset expander=8-10NM

In that list I'm assuming the "headset expander" is the compression sleeve inside the steerer tube?  I torqued mine to 8 nm with and without carbon assembly paste and it just pulls out with minimal torque on the stem cap.  I'm getting a longer one from Amazon tomorrow. But if that doesn't work, any other tips?

I'm currently working on my gravel bike and have now installed and adjusted the Wheeltop EDS GEX. My setup
Simple combination without a front derailleur
RiRo carbon with 40-T chainring, Spedao 11–50 cassette and an SRAM X01 chain.
What's puzzling me a little now is the noise the chain makes as it runs over the derailleur pulleys, the cassette, and the sprockets. It's quite loud, and I don't know if that's normal. I can only describe it as a rattling noise.
The chain was cut to length correctly according to the instructions.
However, I think it's due to the Wheeltop derailleur pulleys. When I pull the chain through the pulleys without the derailleur mounted, it sounds almost as loud as when everything is fully assembled.

Has anyone else had this problem?


Here are two videos where you can hear the noise clearly. I aligned the derailleur hanger precisely using a tool. Everything fits perfectly.

Tried catching up on this thread since my last visit, can't wait to get back on this thing when the weather hopefully improves within the next couple of weeks. Really nice seeing all the other builds and nice color choices. This frame really got pretty popular, I like it.

I'm wondering if anyone is using the tailfin rack on this one. I'm contemplating doing a bikepacking trip, but on this frame instead. Really interested in the tailfin setup, maybe someone also can provide some pictures.

Have you checked that the chain does not go over the derailleur cage stopper? There are two stoppers , one in the middle which causes the chain to Rattle if it is installera incorrectly.

No, everything was assembled correctly. I read that the chain and sprocket need to be broken in and that it will get better over time. I have installed and adjusted everything correctly so far.

In my YouTube video, I only pull the chain over the shift pulley, and even though I only pull over this one pulley, it is already very loud.

I ordered on the 19th of november, Nothing special just a normal glosse black frame. But she mailed me a few days ago, all frames were manufactured in matte black. It would probably take till after chinese new year for glosse painted frames would be delivered. They luckily had a frame sitting at customs in a different colourway they could send me, so I should be receiving that in the coming days.

Just received my tideace frame on Friday - matte black, all looks nice and only took 2 or 3 weeks to arrive.

But just now I went to put the seatpost in the frame, and it's ridiculously tight. I managed to twist it in about 5cm, I've tried without carbon paste first, then with.

Anyone else had this?
