Tideace NEW Gravel Frame: GR201

So am also looking into this awesome looking frame, already have quote from LT.
I am curious about sizing, I also have the VB-R-168 road bike in size XL / 58 cm ish with a 42cm handlebar.
189 cm high and looking more for comfort that aero. Would 58cm also be the natural choice for the GR/GV201 frame?
Right now i have a 42 cm handlebar, but based on recommendations from this thread I think i will use the Lexon Unox handlebar that have 20 degrees flare, would it make sense to go with 40cm instead?

Now I just also need to find the right color/design that might be the most difficult thing

seems like the lexon unox is the "go to" for integrated setup, but whats the equivalent when it comes to separate bar/stem/headset? I don't know what length stem I'll need,  so prefer to get separate components so that I don't need to replace entire unit if I want to adjust.

Any stem bar combo should work. Whatever you prefer. Might want to try Deda Superbox stem.

Thanks, I spotted that one, but it's too expensive if i don't get the length right the first time - 80-90 euro or so.
My idea is to get something which I'd be happy to 'dispose of' initially, possibly 2 or 3 lenghts depending, and then when decided on length invest in an integrated cockpit.
Or not - maybe even just stick with the cheap stem.

Will pretty much any concealed stem/handlebar combo work so in that case? Maybe even should go with the FSA69 headset, non-concealed cheapo stem and internal bars?

i am looking into this frame and was wandering if someone could clarify tire clearance on this thing?
from what i understand the frame is same as State Cycles allroad V2 carbon. they claim tire clearance is 2.2" which roughly comes to 56mm.
when communicating with TanTan, the spec they sent me says 50mm.
any idea?

Official tire size is 700*50. A 2.1“ Thunderburt fits but it is very tight and only recommendable for dry conditions.

That's unfortunate! That frame is toast. You could probably get it repaired but not worth the hassle. I would ask them to send out a new one.

They gave me the run around. Claiming it happened during shipping which is obvious bs. Ended up having it repaired. Cost me about $200, was given a good price by a guy that was interested in the frame and my build, having only worked on high end stuff. Seraph (TanTan, whatever) offered me $60 as their part. I've ordered lots of stuff from China but this was a let down customer service wise.. I get that their margins are very small but still, I payed for a non damaged frame (and shipping twice) so you assume they'd deliver. You live and learn I guess.

In the final stages of building it up now. Will post photos and a review (of the process) next week.

that's interesting,  I'm 177 and bring recommended the 54 also. my gut feel is the 52 though,  reinforced if you're OK on the 54 at 6cm taller than me

anyone else care to reveal their height, their frame size and whether or not they would change if ordering again?

He was 188 - 11cm taller - and on the 56

I’m 178 & went with the 54 based on the fit from my Canyon Grail. The 54 feels fine to me. But I think height is only a general indicator. Some have different proportions - longer reach, shorter legs and vice versa. I consider myself pretty average in that sense - suits off the peg often fit me well - and on the 54 frame and a 80-85mm stem fits my reach.
And my saddle height allows enough seat post showing to offer some flex but not look stupidly long.

If you already have a bike you are happy with you can use an online comparison tool to overlap the 2 frames and get an idea of how they match up.
I have a Canyon Grail which the fit is almost perfect for me (or at least I can do 100’s of KM’s in one spin without any pain where I shouldn’t have it) and so I overlapped 3 frame sizes of the GR201 onto that to find the closest match.

So with my build complete (at least stage one) and a few hundred KM’s ridden here’s my review video.
Keep in mind I’m new to cycling and have no experience building a bike and my experience of how a bike should feel or ride, corner, climb or descend is very limited. But these are my thoughts and feelings about the final product.

I've gone for a ZTTO T47 BB. No idea if it'll be any good or not.

Alugear chainring and Magene P505 (hopefully it fits). Ltwoo e-gr groupset with an out of spec 11-50 ZTTO cassette (currently installed on a Ribble CGR).

I'm late to the party on these GV201's & only recently found this forum, but your build has influenced me a little in pushing the button & ordering one of these framesets.
A couple of questions if you don't mind?
Did you ever do a youtube of the build?
How has the ZTTO BB served you. Did you go std or ceramic?
I see you had a VoiceVelo seatpost in some of your more recent pics - How has that been for you?

Sorry I never did a YouTube video, but I have shared more recent pics here and on weightweeenies.

The ztto BB has been great but note I swapped the bearings out almost immediately for enduro steel bearings with the contact seals on the outside and non-contact seals on the inside. This feels like a really good value option as they have held up really well in some rough conditions.

The VoiceVelo seatpost has been a nice upgrade, it smooths out trail buzz. It's not going to make a difference on really rough stuff, but it's a noticeable comfort upgrade on lighter surfaces.
