in the description in large letters it was indicated that customs was included in the transport costs in EU countries, complete with photos and logos, when the frame arrived I had to pay almost the same amount paid for the frame, obviously the seller took off from any responsibility because as in all non-transparent contracts it was indicated that if you use the Aliexpress courier you are at your expense, the thing that left me speechless is that Aliexpress didn't even comment on my complaints and calmly rejected my refund request , the seller strangely modified the pages by removing images and references to the fact that customs costs were not paid, so let's say that seriousness is not part of this system

Is well now that if you select the Aliexpress shipping method the item has to pay taxes. For avoiding taxes the normal thing is to sellect seller shiping method, these way the packet enter EU by Luxemburg and taxes are avoided.
This is for all aliexpress items, not only for frames

à mon sens, ils auraient dû nous indiquer et nous informer précisément à ce sujet, au prix que j'ai payé j'aurais certainement eu un cadre mieux fini

That's screwed indeed.
But why didn't you open a dispute? The seller doesn't provide you with after-sell support/warranty and ghosting you, so you have nothing to lose already. You could request a refund for the wrong color and defective BB thread. Now since you mentioned that you already got extra damage from home service, it probably could be a bit more challenging to state your point but still doable for a color refund at least.

I´m already waiting for paypal response, the seller was SPCYCLE itself and they only offer me a new frame if I pay for the shipping again (140 USD), I think that´s too much for a 300 USD product and no warranty about the frame, if it comes wrong again, should I pay again for the shipping...it makes no sense at all.
Also I contacted the seller since the arrival of the wrong color and damaged thread, but the seller told me to install the bottom bracket more than once, of course it was not possible due to the wrong thread I went to a professional workshop to have a letter from them, so I bet no warranty is void whatsoever.
It´s a pity because if the manufacturer want to grow it´s a good opportunity to show that they warranty their products.
The seller is registered in chinertown and telling that they will fulfill its warranty obligations, but not the case for me it seems, if they decide to do so I will inform you all.

Waiting on an SP Cycles frame myself, the SP-M016. placed the order on June 4 and on July 7th it was noted as being in the USA. The communication was a bit lacking through Aliexpress and the original tracking information was wrong, then not updated for weeks.

For any US customers, use the EMS tracker number on the USPS website when it shows as in continent. mine has shown for 3 days that it is in Las Angeles and not moved but USPS tracking is much easier to follow than EMS

Hi guys, unfortunately the frame broke while I was tackling a simple rocky slope, thank goodness I was going at low speed I don't want to think if it had happened to me while I was tackling a descent, the seller replied that he would send me a replacement frame but at the moment he doesn't respond to my messages and I haven't received any updates, let's see if it will be heard now since it states a 2 year warranty

Seems like a real crap outfit. Lots of posts about them screwing up orders and being a pain to deal with.

Im lucky that i decided to do some research before pulling a trigger on this frame. Not going to get my money with this kind of feedback. For some reason the feedback on aliexpress site is great for this and also for the SP-M06. Go figure...

I'm sorry about that. Especialy that it is not common place to break. I was about to buy epic clone from SPcycling , but changed my mind in the end  :-\
- Full Susp. (marathon / XC / trail): Carbonda FM936, XT/XTR, 2.4/2.2
- Rigid MTB (gravel / marathon): Pro-Mance FM015, XT, corner-bar

Take a look on Airwolf YFM053. I am going with them instead. A safer bet hopefully.

Hello everyone, and sorry for bringing this thread back to life.

I'd like to share my experience with an SP-M048 frame that I bought a year ago. I would also like to know if anyone else has had issues with the quality of these frames and how SPCYCLE has handled them. In my case, both the frame quality and the customer support have been terribly disappointing.

After a few months of use, the frame started making increasingly loud creaking noises around the bottom bracket area whenever I pedaled hard. I reported the issue to SPcycle (spcyclebike@gmail.com), and they responded quickly, asking for a video in which the noise could be heard, so I sent them one.

That was four weeks ago. Since then, I haven't heard anything back from them, and they are no longer responding to my emails.

Has anyone else experienced similar issues with SPCYCLE? I'd be interested to hear whether you've had problems with the quality of their frames or with their customer service and warranty support.

This frame has been the worst purchase of my life.
It has never been crashed, and there are no visible cracks or damage.

If anyone wants it, you can have it for free. Size L. 🙂

Regards
Miguel

I've only bought one frame from SPCycle, the M028 frame, pre UDH.
service was actually OK, frame was nice and well finished. one issue I did have though is the dropout. The mech hanger dropout was in two parts, the inner plate and the outer plate. the inner had a threaded stub that went into the frame, and the outer was a teardrop shape that fixed the two parts with a m2.5 bolt.

Problem was, the thru axle was then only fixed to the inner plate and the frame was only attached to that by the 2.5mm thick bolt. cornering meant that the dropout would flex and the wheel would shift.

normally the threaded part is attached to the outer plate, so that tightening the thru axle tightens the frame down on the hub and everything stays pretty tight. I explained this to SPCycle, who responded by saying they'd never had any problems before.

that was the end of the conversation.

I ended up sourcing a dropout for another frame that worked ok, but I was not happy with the 'this is just the way it is' attitude from them. Not very helpful at all.
