The Velobuild ist 1200$ + shipping. The Winowframe is 628$ including shipping (BXT 119 its the Same frame).
Why you say at current prices?

They are similar frames but not the same. The cockpit on the Velobuild is flat into the frame and the rear shapes are different. The geom is probably close to the same but I haven't compared side by side. So it could be down to looks and price for most. Also basic stuff like the BB is different and the rear hanger is integrated vs replaceable. Not voting one or the other just pointing out the obvious differences I can see.

Saving by going w. cheaper pedals, saddle, mech v. hydro levers, or 11 spd Di2 would probably get you down to $1.4k-ish all in. Even less if you don't care about shifting from the basebar and do full mechanical.

It's not a bad price for a full electronic TT bike. It's crazy how other manufacturers will probably charge this for 7-11k. I'd rather build it and enjoy riding what I built.

Here are the photo's of my TT119 bike. I've chosen the HB052 cockpit instead of the standard one that comes with the frame. I paid about €1000 for this frame including the cockpit and another €2000 for the shimano 9180 Di2 TT group, including assembly. The 25mm/50mm rims with 28mm tubeless tires are from my Trek bike.

I've done 2 rides and the comfort is amazing. Can stay in the aerobars continiously for long time. Speed improvement compared to my Trek Madone is about 10-15%.

I completed a build using this frame for use for IronMan (and other) distance triathlon.

I have to say I was absolutely delighted with the quality. No major issues with build at all.

You need to pay attention to cable protection through the stem when routing hydraulic brake cables to prevent internal damage/wear with time. I found some simple foam protection online which worked well (also used to prevent noise internally in the frame).

I am now fan of the included stem. It weights 350g and no internal cable routing option towards the fork but on top (so you need a bento box to hide the cables going down.
Has someone some other options? I am looking at the enve aero road stem. Much lighter. But I don't want the cables external. I prefer cables through the base bar directly to the stem and then with the top cap downwards to the fork/frame. You think this is possible?

Delayed reply of a few months here...

The stem quality is reasonable but yes its a single block of aluminium which has been machined. The cable routing is ok but yes it relies on the Profile bento being immediately behind it to hide the cables. On my build this is useful as that is also where the Di2 control box sits - easy to access for charging etc. I also use the bento to store long distance tri nutrition (salt tabs etc if I miss an electrolyte bottle or cramping). Profile do another bento (similar design) but that incorporates a 300ml gel bottle. The fork on the WINOW comes with a steerer tube length that would permit use of a normal stem (mine is now cut down as the clamp part of the WINOW stem is relatively short in height). Some stems are available with internal routing but the frame entry points are immediately behind it so I don't know how you would route the cables without seeing them slightly.

On a previous CN TT bike (made by Miracle bike) I swapped the stem out for a standard stem but no internal routing was possible and also that meant the stem didnt fit with the fork profile.

Bike still going strong - no issues as yet!

Hello,

after months of searching, creating build and hesitating between Winow TT119 and Velobuild TT023, my winow arrived 10days ago.

I saw on the forum that the fork and steam was questionable, on my side I don't had any issue (no playing on the fork and the direction bearing is holding on place as it should)

As i'm on full mecanical (brake and and transmission) it was difficult to pass all the cable (and it's my 1st build so i went very slow and i think, without all the good technics.

Build was finished yesterday morning and i went on the 1st ride on the afternoon.

After these first 45km, i need to check the screw of the restbar (i saw on the forum that the screw provided are too much flexible), i have a bit of flexibility but nothing to scare me.

Really happy with it
