Yishunbike R096-D Endurance Frame
« on: May 26, 2024, 07:46:35 AM »
Against the current trend, I got no Aero frame. I settled for a more relaxed riding position and the R096-D was an awesome middleground between price and quality.

I had no real building issues. Cable routing was super easy. The thru axle got messed up and I definetly have to recut the thread, if I disassemble it the next time. The headset gap isn't even, but that seems to be a general issue with the mold. Other customers had the same result.

I made a 20k and 60k ride and no creaking.
7.3kg before pedals and bottle cage.

Build:
Frame: Yishun R096-D (with Fork and integrated Handlebar)
Wheelset: Yishun 206DB-RBD50C (in the set 1370€ incl. shipping)
Groupset: Ultegra 8000 11speed (700€)
Saddle: Ryet 3D 135mm width
Seatpost: Elita One
Paddles: Wellgo SPD... so I can use the same shoes like for my gravel bike
Bartape: ZTTO
Seatpost Clamp, Stem cover: ZTTO
Chain: Waxed ZTTO 12s
Tires: GP5000
Tubes: Offbondage
Shifter casing: Shimano OT41 red
Hydraulic hoses: No idea, Aliexpress

With tools and everything I spent almost 2.500€

You actually have a lot of spacers under the handlebars. Maybe this YT video on channel BBInfinite 2 years ago (Adjust a Headset Like a Boss) will help you compress your headset in the best way. I myself was amazed at the compression with plastic spacers

How did you order it? I was looking at this but couldn't find a way to put an order in. And did you get a weight on the frame before assembly?

I'm also a fan of "old school" frames- round seatposts, tolerable geometry.

Just send an E Mail, I communicated on WeChat after receiving the number from Kitty. Was pretty easy.

@Ar26 yeah I wanted to start from the top, I might remove some later.

The bike looks very good! Weight is also really nice!
Which frame size do you ride? And how tall are you no which inseam do you have?
I think I am going with the 55 (186 cm/88 cm inseam)

Hello Kingberry, after 200km it's really fun, but time will tell.
I'm 176cm and 82cm inseam. I'm using 53cm, but could have went a size smaller. So I could have opted for a longer stem and could have used more of the stem.
55 should be a good fit.

I've 30mm tires, but you could fit wider ones, especially in front 32mm isn't a problem.

After 2.000km, no creaking and everything runs well. Haven't went over 54km/h as everything is very flat here, but it doesn't feel like I'm reaching the limit of the bike.

Can you link the saddle? I would be curious about this 135mm width saddle!

I'm your height and 53 is the right size; I looked at these before and the drop to 50 is massive. This almost looks like a 56. In any case congrats, looks good.
