I was intrigued by the low price of the bikesdirect complete bike. It's cheap enough to consider selling/chucking most of the parts to simply do a frame-up rebuild with it.

Reviving this older thread because I'm on the hunt for an ultralight carbon mini velo frameset.

I've seen the JAVA CL-CB but I'm really interested in finding out if this is the only option. The frame is quite heavy (>1kg) for a minivelo.

I tried really hard to get one shipped to the UK but the shipping costs out weighed the purchase.  I ended up getting a 2019 Tern surge frame off Ebay from Japan.  Loads of fun to build and ride.  Would have loved the opportunity to try a Java with hydro discs and electric drivetrain.

Minis are a cool niche bike.
