Guys, let me share my oppinion.
I own 2 X68's.
3 of my friends also have it. I can say that all of us do not have issues with it.
Previously I owned S-Works SL5. Had a lot of issues with BB. Do you think that "known brands" solve issues fast ? be my guest and try... just because you paid low money to Chinese brand, does not mean your issue should /will be solved emediatelly and all under your conditions. It's matter of discussion /negotiations and acceptable solutions.
So, not recomending Seraph, is in my oppinion, just not fair statement.
I kind of agree — you pretty much get what you pay for with a frame like this as it cheap
Personally, if I had a BB issue with this frame, it wouldn’t bother me too much.
With this frame I’ve already managed my expectations.
It landed at around £630 including taxes and a bar, so realistically it’s almost a throwaway item at that price point.
If I was offered a replacement frame but had to pay $150 shipping, would I take it? Probably not without thinking about it. At the end of the day, the BB has failed and it’s likely a manufacturing issue — but unless you can clearly prove that, it usually ends up being your word vs theirs, and even if you did prove it it likely they would still not accept it!
That’s always the situation with these brands:
Customer says it’s a defect
Brand says it’s caused by use or installation
So you end up having to meet somewhere in the middle. Not ideal, but it’s the reality unfortunately but I know people who have had similar issue with the real thing! and still had to jump through hoops to resolve it!
Personally I would maybe wait it out for something like the TT-XSL9 instead 😅
