I remember the video but watched it again.

You always expect more from the big brands but it’s not always the case.
I’m dealing with Michelin tyres at the moment I appreciate it’s only tyres but it’s been 6 weeks and I always feeling like when I am doing this  its me chasing and doing the hard work.
But as always I will persevere and get there in the end!

Speaking of tires, I had a problem after 100 km of Continental tires. I sent them a mail and asked some photos. Nothing more required and they sent me new tires. Good after sale service for Continental.
They even asked the serial number. Maybe They wanted to check all their batch.

Never used Michelin’s bought there cups for the mallorca 312 we’re a good price from Lordgun like £30 GBP. 60miles in sidewalk tear purchased a replacement not even 100 miles and same again in Mallorca sidewall tear in front tyre !
In the end I went back to trusty GP5000s and replaced front and rear which were the price in Mallorca £70gbp each.

Anyway Patrick anymore updates on your X68 experience have you pulled the trigger yet

yesterday i've done first ride (29km - https://www.strava.com/activities/14541162130) and today second one (76km - https://www.strava.com/activities/14549743379). it's much much smoother and comfortable than my aluminium Rose SL Pro. today I had small issue during the ride, after a very fast descend on shitty tarmac rear dereillure loose up sibI couldn't change a gear. some random guy helped me with tighting this screw (I didn't took my imbus). same story with computer holder, screw loose up as well on the same descent.

Few people have mentioned computer mount screw.
Maybe worth a small dab of loctite thread lock

Not directly x68 related, but I did swap my wheeltop calipers for Campagnolo. Also went from 160 rear to 140.

Weights-
Calipers-Campy 127, Wheeltop 150 (both with pads and hardware)
Rotors - Campy 123, 155   Shimano sm rt20s supplied by tantan - 350
Adapter (not needed now with 140) 12

So 135g saved.

Debating between an X68 and the SPCycle R088. With AliExpress promos I can get the SPCycle for about $260 CAD cheaper, anyone have thoughts if it’s worth springing the extra for the X68.

DFS crank installed
They have not written the instructions and said use Cybreis which did not work  Elilee cranks instructions worked on the end! 
Slowly but surely coming together!
Next to do get the calipers working and dial in the throw and reach of the levers!

TanTan is definitely dead for me.

I paid 56 working days ago (!), 21 days ago I was told that they painted it wrong and now have to produce a new frame in UD matt.

I have NO delivery date yet.

Vivian is sending BS mails and is no help at all, just offering me a refund (exchange rate €/$ has dropped 10% in the meantime; postage costs are no longer split between 2 frames).

Total joke, TanTan never makes the frames themselves, otherwise it would be much quicker to sort out.

Did you order the frame in one of the colors that were available for selection other than a basic black? Or did you order a special colour?

I am asking because I ordered a prebuilt bike in (pearl) white which is a colour you can directly choose but got hit with nearly the exact same message as you did as well.

Should be
1X Transition's spacer for frame
3x10mm spacers
1X 5mm spacer
1X Handlebar transition spacer


So that’s 35mm of main same as genuine SL8.
They don’t supply one of the slammed spacers like the real thing.

50mm I would say maybe you need a bigger frame which has a higher stack meaning less spacers.
What size frame have you ordered?

Custom paint which was done after 35 days.

Yesterday I got told that they finished a 52 in BLACK matt (was supposed to be UD matt so another failure) which took 21 days.

DFS claim to manufacture this crank and even supplied test data for stiffness.
When I contacted them directly, they mentioned they hadn’t yet produced installation instructions, as they were in the process of moving premises. I did point out it’s not ideal selling a crank like this without proper instructions!

They initially said to use Cybrei’s instructions, but after installing, it was clear those weren’t suitable. In the end, I followed the Elilee crank instructions, and that worked — the main issue was just getting the spacers installed correctly.

As for the bolt, it’s absolutely fine. I’ve had to take the crank on and off a few times, so what you’re seeing is just some black paint worn off the outer edge.
