The rear bolt is the main bolt for tightening, and I torque it to 5 Nm. The front bolt is used for adjustment because tightening the rear bolt pulls the rail down, which in turn tightens against the front bolt. Does that make sense?

It’s a bit fiddly to set up.

I grease all the bolts and apply carbon paste on the rails as well as on the front and back of the seatpost where I tighten the wedge clamp to 6.2 Nm.
some may however to this differently but thIs is the same as what i do on my SL8

I can also recommend the MagCad Design mounts. The one I posted about in the earlier post is really good. There are no wobbles. It has been rock solid on the past three rides

Sander; feeling anxiety for riding a genuine SL8 vs a replica? That's wild!!!

I personally am 100% the other way and would have much more anxiety about riding a replica frame (especially considering my real frame has a lifetime warranty) and I 100% felt safer on my dead stock S-Works SL8 vs the way it is now with weight weenie parts.

For example: The SRAM Red chainrings look and feel more solid than the Gemini carbon chainring. The Power mirror saddle felt more solid than the Berk Lupina, The stock compression plug a lot more solid than the Tune plug. The Roval CLX II's more solid than the CRW's. Even the Specialized carbon bottle cages felt way stronger than the Carbonworks weenie cage I have replaced it with.

I'm a light rider at 60kg's, and never ever hesitated to let my friends ride my SL8 before, but now with the SL8 at 5.6kg's I'm very hesitant to let my heavier 80kgs+ friends ride it.

Those are all valid comparisons, except that the frames discussed here are not sworks weight, nor are the saddles lupina weight.
The replica frame here is a pro/expert weight, and that's a different ballgame. I suspect that the qc standards that are applied are different given the inherent safety margins.
But yeah, I'm 60kg and don't worry much. Others differ and might. Part of the ww game.

the weakest part of your bike before the WW parts were added is still the weakest part of the bike after them being added. Don't let that S-Works fall top tube against a wall or crash and have your bars smack it! (actually i'm still too failure shy to stick the Tune plug in my SL8 - that's the one weenie part i just can't bring myself to use. I ride the heck out of my SL8 otherwise tho and i'm no light weight at 78kg)

Lol well, I am a bit precious! 😅
But I’ve had that plug in both my SL7 and SL8 with no issues.

If you’re on WW forum, you might know Ryan from RhinosWorkshop — he built both bikes for me, and I really trust his judgement.

On the SL8 it’s less of a worry anyway, since the split ring is plastic now, not metal.
And hey, it’s a 30g saving — which, in WW forum terms, basically means 300g! 😂

Anyway, either bike’s gonna fail if you crash it hard enough or hit something solid — we all know that.

Computer mounts are like 2Nm don’t really need a torque wrench for
That. Tighten to feel and is a little loctite

Personal preference in my opinion which one do you prefer

Wanted a different cap for the x68 bars. Alpitude et al are very nice but lots of $, so made my own. This one is 4g vs the stock 7, but next attempt will be a gram lighter
