Bleeding Ltwoo hydro/Zrace X2 - what am I doing wrong?!
« on: November 04, 2024, 07:42:14 PM »
Guys,

I am feeling a bit stupid, first time setting up brifters and i can’t get pressure on the brake lever. I filled the system from the calipers (zrace X2) to the brighter (Ltwoo GRT) and I got fluid coming out, closed the system, brake lever going straight to handblebar, no pressure building in system, no pad movement.
Second attempt, same set up, seringe on caliper, cup on brighter, pushed fluid again, this time also open secondary port on caliper until fluid came out, closed that, secondary air vent screw on brighter, opened that, got liquid, closed, flushed some more through normal flush set up, still the same result, no pressure in system; it feels like I have an open system where fluid is bypassing piston somewhat. No oil dripping anywhere

I am sure I am missing something evident but can’t figure out, please someone point the obvious out?! I thought I was a brake system guru after installing my first set up flawlessly on my mtb, but maybe not… the only thing I haven’t had time to mess with before having to leave for a business trip is the lever free range adjuster, but I don’t think it’s that (I think that’s what that little screw in front of lever does anyway)

The one thing that throws bike shops off with ltwoo brakes is that tiny screw. If it's not loosened right, bleeding doesn't work. If you screw it out too much, it falls off and then that's not fun at all.
If you haven't tinkered with it, there's a good chance it's the problem, then let your guruness shine
Good luck.
