That sucks! Did it crack under normal riding conditions?

Yeah I only noticed because it started creaking. One side has a hairline crack, otherside has a big crack with layer separation.

I am trying to get a refund from ali, but I assume they will not give me one. Aliexpress listing never actually advertised a warranty

Did you get the proper inserts, I am asking as I got the wrong ones on the first delivery and the post was sliding no matter what.. They kindly sent another one and apologized.. all good now and thanks for the kinds words.. tear occurred playing tennis,, will stick to road bike for now

This is interesting to hear, because the same thing was happening to me and I couldn't figure out why it was sliding no matter what. So you just sent a message explaining that it was always sliding and they sent you a new set of inserts and bolts?

I picked up another Master seat post, but this time without the hollowed out base. I had no issue with my previous Master post, so I chanced it with this version. The seat post clamp setup has grown on me due to the ease of adjustment. I just make sure it's torqued to at least 8nm to minimize any slippage.

Just reporting some long term feedback with the Master Post with hollowed out clamp base. Recently on some rough single track trails, I did get minor carbon clamp movement at 8nm. When I got home, I increased it to 9nm. I'll see how that will hold on my next outing. Though on the same ride, another rider's Specialized carbon saddle rails broke off on the same trail! We had to strap his saddle bag to the top seat post to avoid an unpleasant accident. So yeah, AliExpress RYET saddles for the win!

I have had one of these arrive, ready for a new gravel build I'm putting together. First impressions are good. Looking forward to trying it when the frame arrives.

On a gravel ride 2 weeks ago, I had my regular Elita One post snap in half after hitting a big drop. In fairness, I think I may have over-torqued the seatpost clamp a few months ago. I thought it would have had an issue sooner than this, so I assumed it was fine. In reality, it was fine until it got a massive bump. Even then, it broke with an incredibly loud "snap". I was pretty far from civilization, but I was able to shove about 0.75in of post into the frame and it could hold my weight on smooth road. I rode that very carefully back (about 30mi) until I snapped off completely just short of the end of the ride.

I don't really blame Elita One, I think it was my own stupidity that did it.

Guess i could update on a situation i mentioned earlier in this thread, that it seemed impossible to fasten a regular round rail seat on it. Seems i got the wrong inserts as well, even though they were branded as 7x7 they would only take an oval rail 7x9 seat, which sat nicely.

Been using it on my road bike at the tail end of the season, got around 200km on it, it looks nice and is fairly comfortable. Can't say i felt any vibration dampening and i wouldn't expect too much of that anyway. Mainly roads and has seen some rough asphalt, it's a new build so still getting settled and getting to know the bike.

Can the Elita Master post be flipped for negative setback? I'm considering the 5mm setback version if I can run it in -5mm mode.

My saddle is as forward as it goes on a 0 setback post now, it also has a wider clamp which limits the movement (Yoeleo proflex). I don't need to move it much more forward anymore but would like to clamp it closer to the middle.

The Canyon S15 post allows -10 setback which I'm also considering but it's expensive.

It's a round seat post. There's nothing stopping you from reversing the orientation.

Answering to myself the seat post works great in -5mm setback mode. My saddle is no longer all the way slammed forward. The clamp is holding well at 8nm with carbon paste.

I've done a few fast rides on bumpy snow paths and no movement or sounds. The post has some flex about the same as Yoeleo proflex seat post it replaced but definitely less than Roval Terra.
