That's not remotely close to accurate

At the very least TanTan is mixing and matching various parts from their existing molds.

This frame is a Frankenstein: The rear half is directly from my TanTan X38 Scott Foil clone. I can at least give credit to the fact TanTan was one of the very first OEM budget brands to offer T47 in a road frame.

After long research I think I will pull the trigger on this one
Full bike for 899$ is hell of a deal with Shimano 105 mechanical groupset
The closest bike in terms of geometry is this one : https://www.stevensbikes.de/en/de/race/road/aspin-disc/

Unless your gf is a tank, putting her on a 9kg bike with 42cm bars doesn't sound like the best way to make her like cycling. With alibaba fees & shipping, that 900$ is going to end up much, much higher, at which point, if you factor in replacing the wheels later, you might as well build her something legit out of the gates, i think. The crankset is a POS, and the crank arms are probably way too long for her too. And if you take her to the mountains, get her a 11-34 or 11-36 cassette, she'll complain less that it's hard to go up. And put her on wider tyres, and proper tyres, she'll complain that it hurts her ass less, too. And the cockpit is one piece, so you can't adjust the reach. The probability that she magically exactly fits on the 42 bars with whatever stem length they chose is about zero.
These fully built bikes are never a no brainer when you take a closer look, and it's not that hard to custom build something for similar money. And if you build it, you also have the confidence of having handled the parts yourself, which should give you the confidence to put a loved one on the bike, as opposed to just hoping the bike was put together properly.

Small suggestions: even consider the new cues groupsets with a 11-39 with a 34 small ring or even a 30 small ring in front.

I'm also considering those two options. Anyone else with this model?

Hey guys,

I'm not sure if it's okay to post it here. But I ordered the Twitter/Cyctrac R18 as full build - https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/Factory-Price-New-Models-25-Year_1601596145409.html?spm=a2756.order-detail-ta-ta-b.0.0.6fe9f19c71nHEo.
At first I didn't recognize that it's the same mold as the TT-R18... but i pulled the trigger on it - 1280$ DPD shipping included to Germany for a full bike with Carbon Spoke Wheelset + Wheeltop GEX 13 one by.
Weight does not matter so much for me. It's probably easier to loose some weight on myself....  ;)
Main reason for the bike was the wheel set.  https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/New-Carbon-Wheelset-58mm-1230g-Light_1601518421727.html?spm=a2700.shop_plgr.41413.3.45067121MzskYf

I attached some pictures from the assembly which they provided to me and the detailed specs. Shimano options were in my opinion too expensive, +200$ regular 105 and DI2 +700$.

The bike is shipped and will arrive sometime in December (hopefully). I‘ll give you an update after it arrives.  :)

Hey guys, Winow is selling the exact same frame as well, under the name WR018, the geometry is all the same.

I read in another thread that the Winow WR054 and the Tantan X18 frames are basically the same too. I have no idea if they’re from the same factory or if they just share the same molds, but I liked the geometry and reached out to them. I just need to know if they ship to Brazil, since most brands don’t, and I’m hopeful because they also sell through AliExpress, which makes Brazil’s messed-up import process a bit easier.

Hey guys,

Airy for the long wait.

Shipping went absolutely smoothly without any issues. The packaging was excellent - you can tell they put effort into ensuring safe transport. Particularly noteworthy: The wheelset arrived in a separate, well-protected package. Everything arrived undamaged.

The frame/bike makes a very high-quality impression right out of the box. The workmanship looks clean and the components used appear solid. The hoods are probably the updates ones from wheeltop. Shifting is smooth as well.

Wheelset
The wheels deserve special mention:
∙   The stated weight is accurate - no unpleasant surprises
∙   Rim model designation: D58TU28UD20XSL (same identifier logic as some XMCS rims - see pictures) Hub: Probably AinekaSports CS04

Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to take it for a test ride yet - current weather conditions and lack of time haven’t allowed it. I’m planning to test the wheelset on my Scott Foil. Not sure if I keep the bike. On the pictures I mounted some other wheels.

For the price (1200/1300€ all in) it's a good choice in my opinion.

Can you tell us the total weight ? For what size ?
