I just ordered this frame from AliExpress.  With a bit of research, it seems like kinesis frames are pretty legit.

The Geo and the numbers are extremely modern. My only caveat is that the reach numbers seem a little long, but with The steeper Seat, tube angle and slack head angle. I think the fit should be very similar to a commencal meta.

Anyone else around here have any experience with kinesis bike frames?

kinesis bike frames?
Taiwanese brand. They've been around for ages (I mean literal decades, long before ali even was a thing) and delivered oem parts for a shitton of well-known brands (and perhaps done some whole brands themselves, not sure). But yea, they're well known by everyone and their grandma and have a fairly good reputation quality-wise.

let us know how this goes

Fastworkmtb

It's done and built up.
The frame overall is really great. I'm looking forward to giving it a test ride soon.

Hi could you write some comments after your first ride please?

This frame checks so many boxes, but 165mm rear travel is probably too much for around here. 150mm is probably more appropriate for our trails. But I still want to hear how this frame rides for sure.

for me it is a project to ride on summer time in the french alpes on bike park. Since 1 year I ride only light ebike enduro

Anyone know of a more XC oriented frame like this? It doesn't look like they make one or at least on the Ali store you got yours from

@Fastworkmtb do you ride your new bike and could you share your feeback?
thanks a lot in advance

Hey everyone,

So the bike rides great.   No issues what so ever.   The reach numbers work out ok for me. I'm running a short 35 mm stem and my seat is slammed all the way forward as well.  It was very drama free.   Felt like riding a bike.

@scourgei think if you put a 205x 60 shock in instead of the 205x 65 shock the travel is reduced to something like 151 or something like that.i think as long as the eye to eye is the same you can reduce the stroke with no geo change.

Well this bike is awesome.

It feels smooth and stable.   No issues whatever with linkages.  I'm pretty stoked how well this bike rides.

Ride on brothers.
