Completed and with bar tape.

Definitely enjoying the bike and the frame is definitely very impressive even compared to the actual Aethos which this is definitely taking some inspiration and improving upon.

Hiya,

Great looking bike, I love when someone dares to pick bold colors (comparing with the sea of black bikes). It really looks gorgeous.

out of curiosity, how many cm of spacers are your running between the frame and stem? what frame size is it? I might've missed it from a previous post. This frame is on my shortlist, but a tad low in stack vs ideal range (if you ask my bike fitter). The spacers don't take away from the look of the frame, i didn't react to them at a first sight.

Thanks

Thanks Its a 58cm frame with 3cm of the supplied spacers. Geometry is very similar to the Aethos and Tarmac

That's interesting, as I also would get a 58, but would need to increase the stack with 20-30mm as in your case

Which were your decision criteria's when selecting this frame?

I actually have an Aethos that I had feared I had cracked so was looking for something similar

The ability to get a custom paint job and good reviews sealed the deal for me

My FL1 arrived today!
I was expecting it next week based on the shipping tracking website but suddenly got a call from a delivery guy and box showed up. Still waiting for the Carbon Speed wheels they apparently are taking a tour of all the European capital cities.

The build is going to be 40/50mm carbon speed wheels, 11 speed ultegra mechanical, Magene P515 power meter and since I only have mountains going up surrounding my house a big for road bikes 11-40 cluster.

For the mechanical... I assume you ran 1 cable housing the whole way from shifters to derailleur front and back? The other bikes all have some sort of cable stop both in front and back. looks like the rubber plugs might be a bit small for a housing especially in the front probably more for Di2 wire than a housing but that shouldn't be a major issue (maybe soft rubber?) didn't really take a look yet.

Yup, one outer cable all the way through.

hello, nice color,  question -  is it 56 or 58 size?  choosing bike for heigth 179cm/ leg87 and acc reach 56 seems ok..

For those who bought the handlebars and seatpost with the frame, what do you think of them ?

Seatpost seems heavy compared to an elita one. Handlebar design is not my favourite but could go with it if it's stiff and good quality given it's really cheap when ordering with the frame.

Finally got everything assembled and out for the first ride.
If I had been paying a bit more attention when I ordered.. I would have noticed that it was quoted with an in-line seatpost and to copy my seating position I needed an offset. no big deal just one more order and now everything fits nicely. Took a short 25 km trip and came back with a real big smile.

Where are you buying the FL1? The Ican shop doesn't list it, no offers on AliX. Should I use the business-facing-looking site to 'Get a quote' and ask about a single frameset there?

How much did you pay with shipping ?

Can't exactly remember, 550gbp with shipping but no bars or stem. Something like that.
