Just received my bars - https://vi.aliexpress.com/item/1005005644822761.html

1. What's the function / benefit of those 'dimples' on the tops of the bar?

2. There's a hole on the underside of the RH drop only - what's it for?

Thanks both. Not ventured into the brave world of electronic shifting yet - maybe my next one.

Pretty sure i'll be tempted by a full build then - this time I've gone for AliE wheels, saddle, pedals, bars & stem all bolted onto a Giant Revolt - even a year ago Id've been way too cautious to consider that.

Answering the bars q - got this from AE - not sure if its OG-Evkin ultimately.

We appreciate your question regarding the indented surface on the top of the bars.

The indentation on the top of the handlebar is designed to enhance ergonomics and improve aerodynamics. This shape provides a more comfortable hand position during long rides, reduces pressure on your palms, and allows for better grip. Additionally, it helps streamline airflow for improved performance, making it an excellent choice for competitive and recreational cycling alike.
