Hi, I was referring to the aluminum crown of the fork head. On the R088, the lower bearing is mounted directly to the fork. I checked everything again, and the bearings I received are identical: 40x52x7 mm, 36°/45°, both the upper and lower ones. Are yours the same? I'm trying to rule things out because I don't know what else to do. Thanks in advance.

I haven't checked whether the measurement/angle is printed on the bearings (I don't think so), but Spcycle told me the following bearing sizes: 52x39.8x7 45°

So now there is a question. Which one is correct, does it matter? And do each customer receive same set?

The angle of the bearings is important because if the measurements are different the coupling with the frame and fork would not be perfect and the bearings would work badly....however I imagine that the measurement is the same for all R088 frames.

Maybe @spcycle (David), if he read us, could dispel any doubts about it.

If what you wrote is correct but an external degree measurement is missing, I understand that they are 36º/45 bearings and not 45º/45º

Well, I'm having trouble with the frame. I've half sorted out the steering issue, but now I've noticed the rear wheel is much closer to the left chainstay than the right (the one on the drive side). It doesn't seem right to me. Does yours stay centered at the same distance? I checked with other wheels and it's the same, so it's not the wheels.

I'm not sure, but this is normal. Is the wheel aligned with the seat tube? Or is it crooked?
What matters is whether the rim is centered relative to the frame, not the hub.

But as I wrote, I don't know anything about it, so maybe wait for the experts' opinion.

My Foto look familiar. I'm pretty sure everything is ok with my frame. Wheel is in line with seat tube. In my case if there is a difference it is a small one, it depends on point of view. How does it look in relation with other parts of your frame?

Mine look aligned to the seat tube and is fairly center. What size tires are you running? The larger tires might be amplifying any minor offset. I'm running tubeless 25c tires and they appear to right down the center.

Hi, thanks everyone for replying. I'm using 28mm Tufo Comtura 4 TR tires. Your frame seems to have a slightly smaller rim width, but it also passes closer to the left chainstay. The problem is, if I want to fit 30mm tires, they'd be a very tight fit over the left chainstay. Cheers.

In fact the information is not very clear...unfortunately I have not yet had time to check whether the size is indicated on my bearings but, having only specified 45°, I would think that they are 45°/45°.

I still have to finish assembling the bicycle and I didn't notice....today if I have a moment I'll try to check and let you know.

Is it possible to mount a roval rapide cockpit on the R088? I guess yes, but which spacers to use?

Hello old heads and uncs,

Finally pulled the trigger since eyeing this frame back at launch. Here is a sneak peak of the frame from the manufacturer, bought it on ali from a seller called "Syrak" after finding it to be the most competitive price for what seems to be the exact frame as the r088.

Paid $710 in total for everything, and even negotiated for the custom glitter coloured paint job.
I figured I would post in this thread since scrolling on Ali, I found 2 other listings for the exact same frame (different retailer) - though, this one seems marginally heavier than the spycycle listing at 825g (52cm)

hopefully we will see it arrive in a week, and I plan to build it in ultegra di2 with some kore wheelsets (ali)

The prices displayed for me if I were to order from the Syrak store are actually a fair bit higher compared to the Spcycle store, but these paintjobs (including yours) are just amazing. All Spcycle store was willing to do for me are basic finishes they have listed, and an additional chameleon or black transparent glossy paint. It did cost me only 442€ incl. shipping during the 11.11 sales though.
