The frame has zero kilometers I had just started building it and it hasn’t done a single meter on the road that’s the crazy thing.

Better now than later btw

That's gotta be some sort of shipping damage then. Contact Spcycle and see what they offer. Hope they will replace the frame without issues

UPDATE:
The seller got back to me and suggested that I sand the affected area lightly with sandpaper to check whether the carbon fiber itself is damaged or if it's just a surface-level cosmetic issue.

If the carbon is actually compromised, they said they would send me a new frame (although it’s not entirely clear whether I’ll have to return the current one).
If it turns out to be only cosmetic, they offered to cover the cost of repainting.

We’ve been talking through AliExpress chat so far.
Do you think I should ask them to confirm everything by email, just to have it in writing in a more official way?

What do you think about these options?
Does this sound like a reasonable approach?
What would you do in my place?

That sounds very fair. So far they have always been good to me in their support. Do you have an endoscope? Othewise you could send pictures form inside the frame (showing the cracks). I would sand it down and see how it looks; maybe record some videos also. It sure seems like your frame has been damaged during transport. Was the box damaged?
The chat needs to be via Aliexpress chat; that way you can have support from Aliexpress if needed. But so far they seem very cooperative

SPCycle have been quite fair and I haven't had any issues with them. It seems more likely your frame was damaged during shipping. It would seem like a big waste of time for SPCycle to send a bad frame in that condition knowing it'd cause a big hassle. Anyways good luck in getting this problem resolved, hopefully you'll get either a new frame or new paint job in the process!  ;D

UPDATE:

They will send me a new frame, Kudos to the customer service, they are quick to respond and very kind.

I only have to wait another month before I can continue building but that's okay

I rode my R088 the other night on a group ride. The week before I was badly dropped by a goated climber, so I wasn't in the mood to wait for the pack. I probably gapped the other cyclists by about 10-15 minutes to reach the climb checkpoint and then bombed the downhill taking the corners fast while accelerating on the straightaways. Even though my R088 is setup as a climber, overall stability is great. It's a great bang-for-buck frameset, with standardized components and easy to maintain. I seriously have no complaints about this bike.  ;)

Glad to hear this hope there won't be any issues on the replacement frame!

I did my first 100 mile ride ever on this bike yesterday and felt quite comfortable. Unfortunately i had a little "crash" (i literally fell over going over a curb) but there doesn't seem to be any frame damage. Only rd screw and rd got some scratches. I rode over 1000 km on the bike now and still got zero issues. I also ordered the seatpost rubber cover from their aliexpress i only had to pay 2$ shipping and nothing else. Their customer support seems to be pretty good and this recent frame replacement case confirms it for me.

Did anybody order the frame with the integrated handlebar, any experiences?

Has anyone read the TanTan X68 thread?
It looks like TanTan/Seraph has advertised an X70 frame identical to the Spcycle R088.
I have a doubt that Spcycle is not the real manufacturer of the frame....and if that were true, I would feel stupid to apply stickers (they are almost in production at Speedy Decal) with their name/logo.
Without stickers it seems like something is missing....and since I have not any better ideas, I was thinking of using their name/logo (with modified graphics).

For anyone who ordered off their site instead of Ali, was your tracking number also a WXY tracking number? Since I'm a post-tariff hike order, I'm wondering if sp shipped my frame via a different carrier and what kind of actual waiting time I can expect. David mentioned that they shipped the frame DDP with their freight forwarder so I'm not worried about paying any additional costs, just about time and the condition of the frame.

Yes, my frame, which I ordered on Alix, was shipped via WXY. The delivery is usually transferred to DPD after that.

My R088 is almost ready - took it out for a short test ride and it feels amazing

Weighs 7.2kgs

Size 56 chameleon green
Ultegra 8170 11-34t with 56/32 passquest chainring (Ultegra 160/140 rotors)
Ryet 3d printed carbon saddle
Lexon thin line integrated handlebar
Carbon speed D60CU-31 T1100 rims with 5.0mm carbon spokes
Pirelli p-zero tlr rs 32c tyres

Still need to sort out some headset play, bleed the brakes,  index gears properly and add handlebar tape, cages and install computer mount (and install rubber grommets in the di2 wire holes). Hopefully get this all done tonight to test ride to work tomorrow then make any final adjustments for a long first ride Saturday

Build was fairly smooth (was aware of the battery issue seat tube issue so was prepared with a long file) - routing cables was no problem. Tubeless set up was a lot easier than I was anticipating! (Buying a proper sealer injector so much easier than trying to mount the tyres after pouring in sealant)

Photo is quite dark so as it was late when i took it out so doesn’t do justice to the paint colour - my partner has taken absolutely zero interest in any of the conversations i have tried to have with her about the build, but when she saw the paintwork in the sunshine she was all “ooooh it’s an amazing colour, so sparky!”

Will get some better photos in the sunlight this weekend
