ZTTO 12s Ultralight cassette
« on: June 01, 2026, 02:35:09 AM »
Hey everyone,

I'm looking at this ZTTO Cassette https://it.aliexpress.com/item/1005008761317651.html and was wondering if it's compatible with my setup.

I run a SRAM Rival eTap AXS 2x12.

Also, does anyone have real-world experience with these ZTTO ultralight cassettes regarding shifting quality and durability compared to the original SRAM ones?

This looks very tempting but I wonder if your SRAM system is compatible with HG (HyperGlide) which I do perceive as a Shimano standard.

If you have a full sram rival groupset than your cassette is XDr and the one from the link is for HG freehub.
Also I don't think it's flattop chain compatible and if you are running sram crank you probably need flattop chain. I'm not sure whether you can run any sram components with a regular chain or run a regular cassette with a flattop one but that's definitely something you should look into

Thanks guys, you totally saved me! I was about to make a huge mistake.

Since I run a full SRAM Rival AXS groupset, I think I found the correct compatible model now: ZTTO 12s XDR Ultralight Cassette https://it.aliexpress.com/item/1005007261186288.html

Is it correct?

Cost the same as an actual Sram cassette. Is it exponentially lighter?

I have two of these.  they are not compatible with AXS which uses Flattop chains. They are designed for "regular" chains like SRAM Eagle, KMC X12 etc.
It kinda works with flattop chains but it's loud.  I am using SRAM Eagle 12 speed chain on mine and it has been working fine for the last year. ~ 1000 miles first as a gravel bike on dirt and now serving as a road bike.

the shifting is fine but sometimes it will take a bit longer to shift. definitely not as smooth as the SRAM cassettes. but it works for me.
Still a bit noisy in 2 cogs (the 4th and 5th). It drove me a bit crazy for a while and I tried all sorts of things without success. Now I just try to avoid those two cogs as much as I could. lol.  In the other cogs it's pretty quiet. I think it's probably due to their manufacturing consistency.
