I ordered the handlebar, following my positive experience with the R088 frame.
Did my first short ride today, but it is my first aero bar so I lack any experience.

Thanks for sharing. Do you know the weight of the cockip alone? Without aerobar and spacers

Unfortunately, I forgot to weigh the handlebar before installing it 

The SP cycle website says 325 g for the bar only.
I will give an update when I get the chance, I will switch the frame beginning of next year.

Small update on the weight, without the handlebar itself though.

Total weight of the Aero Bar is 628.6 g, the complete indicated weight from SP incl. the Bar is 950 g.
Therefore, I assume the handlebar is ~ 350 g as mentioned above.

Has it been comfortable until now?
How high is the stack of the armrests?
This version can not be angled, right?

I am looking at this or the HB-069 and can not decide on what would be more suitable for ultra long distances. I am going to take part in NC4K next year, so I need a good fitting and reliable solution. They are also going to be my first aerobars, want to attach them to my Dengfu R12.

Inhave these bars and they are really good. I wanted to replace the stock cockpit in my Velobuild CX and these ones do the job really well. Might get another set for a different bike

I'm wondering if the Canyon Aero Groove Bar is compatibel with this handelbar (I already have it the Canyon solution). Would it be possible the you measure the distance of the two bolts and the area of the adapter?

You can adjust the height of the arm rest with different spacers, but you have to use all spacers due to the bolt length. I am currently running ~ 35 mm height arm rest to handle bar top. Highest position is ~ 45 mm and lowest is ~ 10 mm. The grips can be angleded from flat full on aero to 90 degrees or whatever you need in between. I cannot really tell how good or comfortable the bars yet, my longest ride this winter was just 70 km. I have to get used to it, I will also take part in some ultras next year.

My caliper is currently broken, but the distance between the bolts seems to be 35 mm.


Edit: Any idea how the mount the Garmin? I don’t really like the current position, too far forward and really tight between the grips…

I would not put my full body weight on the clip-on, but so far I have zero issues and it is stiff enough.

The handlebars + TT survived Race around Rwanda.
