New Elves frame alert!

"Elves Falath EXP 2025"

Elves Bike Malaysia is calling for bookings on their social media.
It is not on the websites yet. I wonder if they'll sell this globally with these ongoing trade wars.

Hmm, very Madone-esque looking frame. Is it just me or is the wheelbase really short?

God why can't these companies just do their work and design a good frame? Why is it only possible to make crap or a gimmick. Come on man, it can't be that hard

the sides of the hole aren't even parallel to the direction of travel

Perhaps I'm in a small minority in liking different designs.  Moving from a 3T Strada, to the Elves Falath Evo, and now sourcing the final parts for a Tideace CR068.  The designs may be gimmicky but for those wishing for a more 'normal' design, there are hundreds of options out there.

The seatpost hole in the Madone doesn't seem to have delivered aero benefits and it's early yet to know if the Y1RS delivers any improvements but at least it's interesting after a few years where the big brands pushed out one frame as better at everything, it's nice to see some variation, in my opinion.

Btw...I love the short wheelbase (especially the rear triangle) if this were true.  Reminds me  of my early fag paper Dave Russell.  However need to look at the geometry charts as I think the graphics might be just that.   Some of the pictures of the Falath Evo showed a shorter rear triangle than the reality (my Falath Evo can fit sensible gravel tyres!)

I actually think it looks pretty sick minus that massive hole in the seat tube

If we are sick of Chinese and Western brands producing SL7 and Scott Foil clones, what exactly are we looking for in terms of innovation?

I wonder if it has super weird geometry like most Elves frames. :)

Simply good bikes without glaring issues would be a start.

I don't see much innovation in this bike. Seka Spear is innovative in terms of design features that actually improve the performance of the bike and a more relaxed geometry for a more average rider who still wants a 'racing' bike.

Just rapidly churning out ideas without following through and ensuring the implementation is actually a net positive isn't innovation, it's gimmickry.

Take the Tideace FM-CR068, f.e.: It's an absolutely terrific design, and I would've genuinely put it in league with big western designs and bough one myself, if not for one thing: the mess that is the rear end. Putting the fixed 73° seat angle aside, the whole mess they made to have that Lapierre, Madone, whatevere-else-esque design does nothing but add weight, demolish aerodynamics and incerease complexity and likelihood of failure.

I actually don't mind the hole as much as I mind the poor implementation of it.

Well that's another clown car from Elves.  All the bad parts of various big brand bikes, cobbled together into one package.

Giant TCR/Scott Addict/Factor O2 VAM clones with round seatposts.
