Experience with ZTTO ULT (Steel Cogs, Alloy Spider) Cassette?

ZTTO sells a number of road cassettes, the most interesting option for me is their ULT series which uses all steel cogs that are on an alloy spider.

These come in 11-28T, 11-30T, 11-32T and 11-34T varieties.

 Weight is low but not insanely low, and if everything holds together nicely than durability is hopefully quite good.

These are not cheap however, so don't want to take the a risk and find out that they're incredibly creaky or high maintenance or something like that. Therefore wondering about everyone's experience with them.

It sounds like some people have had issues with the small bolts that connect the cogs to the spider coming loose? Has anyone had that experience? It also sounds like maybe in response they stopped using bolts and moved to rivets instead, although I haven't seen this in pictures.

I have the ULT Goldix and ZTTO cassettes (the same). No issues with my screws going loose with any of my cassettes. Though I do ride in year-round ideal road conditions and rotate my bike usage (2 road, 1 gravel) to minimize wear-n-tear. I would avoid using Shimano chains which don't seem to shift well on these aftermarket cassettes. The issue being when shifting from the big cogs to the smaller cogs, Shimano chains are more prone to rubbing.  I switched both my road bikes to KMC X12 chains which seem to work better. Other chains might work fine as well. I highly recommend immersive chain waxing to prolong the longevity of the cassette as well.

I have the slr gen 2 (only 1 aluminium cog). Have only about 1k km on it, but doesn't look worn at all. I'm using it with a Shimano chain and it shifts great. I did need to run a close b gap, in order for it to shift well.
Only thing is, my drive chain is a lot more noiser with this cassette, might be the Shimano chain.

Picked up the ~195 g 12 speed 11-34T. Think it might be warped or something as I can't get it to run well, shifting is fine but sounds like it is rubbing or ticking in a few of the gears. Haven't been able to fix it with adjustment of the rear derailleur.

I have it at 11-32 12s, works well with Shimano Di2 and YBN SLA chain, can be noisy on some cogs but that is expected from a monoblock cassette. The only thing I would want to see is the splines throughout the whole body of the cassette instead of its ends.

I've been running the latest ULT from goldix (gen 3 i think) for the last 2 weeks. Shift is nice when correctly setup but it is a bit more delicate. It is definetly noiser than a regular shimano cassette
Had a Gen1 ULT from ZTTO, the machining marks where a bit rougher and it was as noisy. The shifting did degrade after 6 months of usage, I even had a mechanic tell me that it was shot because the shifting was so poor, it wasn't but it wasn't the best

I had the SLR Gen3 11-34. At the beginning shifting was pretty good. Couldnt complain at all. After a while, I had to adjust my rear derailleur sometimes to get a perfect chain line and after 2000km 2 cogs died and were unrideable

11 sp 11-34 for me, for some reason cogs 4-5 has the chain slipping, I have indexed the gears several times and still slipping with new chains and all.

It happened when I swapped the group from one bike to another. Didn't happen on the first one. However, around 1500 miles on the casette w/o any issues so for the price, well worth. I also have an 11-50 and that one is great.

The ULT is made from monoblock but the spindle has a metal sleeve inside, similar to what Sram XD cassettes have. I have noticed that this sleeve tends to be a little loose and prone to giving off a rattle, or could even help amplify any sounds that come from the drivetrain. It helps adding some thick grease in here to alleviate the problem.

Otherwise the cassettes are stupid light and quite pretty, i have yet to ride one myself for more than a couple hundred km. Have only used the road versions but really want to try one of the huge MTB variants.

They're noisy, yes. They shift ok for non hyperglide. I've had some clunkiness in the center gears, but Wheeltop allows that to be adjusted out, mostly. I still get a clunk going from 6 to 5 down, but the shift itself is quick and precise.
Sram has used the "end only" spline thing on their monoblock cassettes for many years without problems.

many italian users reported broken cogs on the bigger ones on ULT and GEN3.

I'm currently running the light but not "ultralight" 230g ish 11/32 (half steel, half alloy, over 2500km) and i'm really happy: silent, precise shifting, no issue.

Can you be more specific with which you are using?

I have a SLR Gen3 11 Speed 11-36T. And i think it is nosiy af compared to some Shimano or Sram cassettes.

It got a bit better after the first 500km, but still very loud. I use a waxed KMC X11 SL chain.

And i think it mostly come from the cassette itself due to the light weight design, it will more likely resonance the sound a bit more, than a heavy cassette made from thick metal sheets.

You mentioned that it's due to resonance so it might be a good think to try.
I've added the image of the kit, I believe you should be good with buying a O-ring kit with several sizes as well and trying with that by the way.

That's maybe worth a try, i think i start with some old tube cut into thin pieces, because it looks like exactly that
