Got my Sentyeh group yesterday. Bought on AliEx shipped to USA. Looks really nice on initial inspection. Feels very much like SRAM E1. Easy to pair. Still waiting on my Light Cycling Surge RF10 frame that it will go on. Going to run a Goldix 10-33t cassette (Force copy) for now, with a SRAM chain and chainring.

Do you have any pictures? How much did you pay included shipping and taxes. Do the lever presses actually feel similar to SRAM E1, rather than just looking like them and feeling like regular ones like shimano, ltwoo etc?

Two issues I've run into. First, I can't seem to connect the group to my Garmin. I've tried for 45 minutes going through every setting on the app, tried various ways using the RD, it just won't pop up on my Garmin. The other issue, and likely related, is that the thumb extra function buttons can only be assigned to shift the RD. Their isn't any option for ANT function or computer function. It's just an extra shift button.

Edit: From the Trace Velo video, no computer connection functionality yet released but should be coming soon as a firmware update.

Yes, will upload some pics soon. I paid $786 USD all together, including shipping and import fees to the US. I got the 2 shifters, 2 brake calipers with hoses, and rear derailleur. No crankset, chain, or cassette.

This is purely out of curiosity, I don't plan to run this. Basically everything from the Campagnolo SR X groupset. 13 speed cassette, crankset and chain. It actually shifts really well. And the derailleur fits the 10-48t which is technically out of spec.

One note. I tried mounting a SRAM XPLR 13s cassette but it's too wide with the UDH. The cassette doesn't spin. I bet it would work with the special UDH that TraceVelo was showing though. So when they start selling that I think you could use the SRAM 13s cassette.

Going to mount and try the SRAM Force 10-33t cassette next that will be my normal setup. I'm still just waiting on my frameset (Light Cycling RF10) to arrive.

@Eddy_Twerckx

Can I ask to measure or compare the lever reach as accurately as possible?

I am looking for the longest possible lever for puppy paws position, and even small reach increase is critical for it. This one looks longer than Shimano r8170 or SRAM, but I'm not sure for how much longer. 4 mm is too short, but 8 mm is ok to the pull trigger

Yea I'll measure the levers tomorrow and let you know.

I'm seeing lower prices on the Sentyeh groupset. This one is just under $600 usd after coupons.

It's pretty much identical to SRAM E1 in terms of length. The width is a tad narrower than SRAM E1. The measurements from the picture are 120mm and 85mm.

Ok, so I released my SRAM E1 and maybe it's 2-3mm shorter. The SRAM lever is 117mm for that top measurement. So you might get a couple mm extra length.

I really appreciate your help. I still think the groupset is pretty interesting, but I don't want to swap my Ultegra just because of 3mm - the only thing was important for me. Thank you for your help.

Maybe the modular system could be used to increase the reach with some spacers, but I'm not sure

PS: I am a bit confused that I measured 132mm on my R8170 - was sure E1 is a bit longer

SRAM E1 is longer than Shimano 12s (I think). We might be measuring slightly differently. The Sentyeh group is maybe another 2-3mm longer than SRAM E1. I measured from the center of the clamp circle to the most forward part of the shifter as shown from your diagram.

alibaba, i'll put the link here later. I'm not on my desktop at the moment. But there were 3 sellers.

Which cassette, chain, and chainring do you recommend? There's practically nothing available for 14-speed setups yet, and even for 13-speed, options seem quite limited. Could those who have already set this up offer some advice? Thanks a lot!
