I don't know whether the company should have warned buyers about this, all I know is they advertise the groupset as compatible with 13s, kind of bold statement. Am I wrong?

I modified a hanger because I was curious. I actually found that it fits without modification on my Wolftooth UDH. And Sentyeh has a special UDH for the 14sp that does the same thing. So it actually does fit both SRAM 13s and Campy 13s out of the box. So they are 100% truthful in saying it is compatible with 13s.

But that is besides my point that even if it wasn't 13s yet, it's still ready to go with 12s. And you don't have to buy new shifters or derailleur to get 13s or 14s. Because it's already there in the app. Take Shimano. Back when it was 11s. You decide to buy an 11s Di2 group. Then they come out with 12s so you have to buy a full new groupset to get 12s. Then next year they come out with 13s and again you have to buy a full groupset. That's a couple thousand dollars every time. With Sentyeh, you buy the group and run 12s. Then you find a 13s cassette and that's the only new thing to buy. Then 14s comes out and again, just buy a new cassette. The huge selling point with Sentyeh is that you don't have to buy full groupsets any more. So if you're waiting for 14s to buy it, you're really only saving maybe $100 compared to if you just buy it now and run 12s or 13s. Heck there are 13s cassettes on AliExpress right now. Will I upgrade to 14s? Sure. But I don't have to wait another year for a 14s cassette to buy the group because it's functional now and I can keep the shifters and derailleur for years to come.

I hope this Sensah/Whaleroad groupset is successful, so that they can put pressure on bigger companies. For a long time, I never understood why the big companies couldn't just program an extra motor position or two through an update. Seems like a simple PID controller, or perhaps I am underestimating the difficulty. Glad Sensah is doing it.

Buying through Jingdong is RMB 2209 + 126 for shipping = RMB 2335 = USD $350 direct to continental USA.
Faster air shipping is a a bit more expensive.

Love me a bit of curiosity, it's driven most of my purchases lately :-)
How's the group set going, any more thoughts?
Asking because I'm so close to buying.... And it'll be your fault lol!
