Camp Bikes

Was watching some of the youtube videos from the Shanghai Bike Show and thought the Camp Bikes in Trace Velo's video looked pretty neat. I couldn't find much info online. Anyone know more about them? They didn't seem to have specifics about the bikes listed on their website, at least not without creating an account. I got the impression they don't really try to sell to the western market but I sent them an email asking for geometry charts and frame weights anyway, just waiting to hear back.

https://www.campbicycle.com/en/buy/message

Found this link on their site under "export".

Seems like a pretty aero frame with a nice price-tag. Ihmo it will be a nightmare to order one pcs to EU or US, let alone the shipping and taxes. Oh and forget about warranty, as this brand doesnt seem to be very interested in the export-market.

Lmk if u get any prices. At the end of the day its a fast-looking bike with a low advertised price  ;D

I've also stumbled on them on Alibaba months ago.
Jessie Zhuge from Huizhou Chenyang Technology Co. contacted me and send me their whole 2024 catalogue as a PDF. I didn't pull the trigger because I there was no information about the brand and the price seemed too good to be true, 4K USD for a fully built Dura-Ace bike including shipping.

Yep seen the China Cycling Video and Trace Velo on YT.
Not wanting to offend but that brand name would not go down well in the UK

Whats wrong with camp? Something political or just the big logos looking like trek?

I take it your not from the UK

It’s not that “Camp” as a name is inherently bad — it’s just that in the UK, the word has certain connotations. “Camp” is commonly associated with flamboyance or exaggerated behaviour, especially in a theatrical or stereotypically effeminate way.

I think it's a bit like Dick as last name.

I wouldn't like to ride a presumably lightweight bike with BIGROCK logo on it either... Asian branding is silly.

Agreed they make some great products but the branding in most cases is just crap. I'm not sure but maybe it sounds better in Chinese potentially.

I'm happy to tell people the brand name if they ask, but hate most of the names/logos being on the bikes. A clean downtube looks nice.

Townraces could be a model name for the song tie in with Blazing Saddles.

I also saw Luke's (TraceVelo) Shanghai Bike Show videos and really liked the Camp bike. Very nice looking and competitive pricing. Hope they are willing to go to AliExpress and ship to the US.
