Couple of quick updates.

Just received my Toseek handlebars - they look good and the finish should match in with the bike nicely.
The really great point is that they use the exact same spacers, so that makes life very easy for the install.

I also ordered a fancy looking Garmin mount from Aliexpress on sale for Black Friday which ties in with the colours of all the bolts on the bike, so that'll be a nice touch too.

One point to note - I got bottle cages from Lightcarbon when ordering the LCR018-D - these are a sloppy fit on my standard bottles and are causing a lot of rattling. I think I'll just replace them rather than start adding tape or something to address the sloppiness.
**Update to this - tried another bottle cage today and still rattling, so it must be coming from the cage against the little metal door. Will try some rubber washers under the cage.

Finally i got on the bike for a short 10k test ride. The weather here in south Germany at the moment is just grey and cold.

I ride my Cube Nuroad Gravel for three years now and only had a second old Peugeot Retro Road Bike for some short rides.
Recently my GF bought a Liv EnviLiv Advanced, which is quite similar from the geometry and position for me.
So i don't have a ton of different and many riding experience with a lot of bikes.

But what i felt yesterday was, that the frame is quite flexi?
As soon i stood up for some sprinting, the brake rotor rubbed against the brake pads. Sure the wheels have also some flex in it, but since the rotor is mounted on the axle the rubbing would come from the brake caliper moving?
Even during the seat post adjustment at home, i saw quite a flex at the BB when standing on one pedal.
But the brake calipers have a bit more room to move them a bit on the mounting position.

On the other hand, it just feels fast for me 
Compared to the Liv, it's a bit less "aggressive" riding, i mean the feeling when turning and the overall handling when you try to ride hands free. It's a bit more stable.
Compared to my Gravel, it's very unstable and aggressive/responsive 

I'm pretty happy with the bike 


Components working fine for now.
Only the front chainrings are quite "loud" compared to the 2x12 105 from the Liv.

- (not installed yet) Cheap MOTSUV Carbon texture bar tape in white
- (ordered) Titanium bolts for seat post, headset cap, brakes and brake pads safety-pin/screw (the default one from the XG calipers are too short and don't have any safety clip )

Weight was around 7.6kg

Interesting point about frame flexibility. Is anyone else feeling this?
If you’re 58kg, probably not, but if you’re 75kg+ could you comment.

Also those putting out decent watts, are you feeling any meaningful flex up hill or sprinting?

I am 75 kg and made a ride of 40 km yesterday with carbon spokes wheelset from Tagoola and I did not have any disc rubbing.

I will make some max sprints this weekend and let you know if this happens.

Just to add a bit info, i don't have this much of riding experience that i feel small differences of a bike. Maybe if the geometry is completely different, yes, but otherwise it's just ride as any other bike.

The thing with the brake caliper could also be a wobbly rotor and a slightly off position of the caliper itself. When adjusted a bit, maybe the rubbing goes away.

I would have to give the bike to a more "pro" rider to tell me if it is flexible or stiff.

So everybody take my post just as my opinion and not a statement on the frame itself is flexible or not. 

BTW, I'm around 78-80kg and had some winter shoes and few layers of cloths yesterday

What groupset are you guys pairing with the LCR018-D? I'm new to building up a bike from scratch and past bikes are have all been mechanical.

I went Shimano Ultegra as i fit the budget but did some shopping around for a deal. Merlin in the UK had a great price and was substantially cheaper than anything local (Canada). Although I was originally considering Wheeltop.  When comparing quality/longevity of some parts and having to buy other items to complete the wheeltop groupset, there was not much difference between shimano 105 and wheeeltop. Then when I compared the price difference for Ultegra, I went for that. Had I stayed at 105, I think there was a $50 difference between wheeltop and 105, with how I planned to build it up. Can be done cheaper but then shifting quality and longevity will be sacrificed.

Thanks for the review! Hope you enjoy the bike. Did you get any rattles from storage door? A few pages ago someone mentioned on their YouTube video that they had to add some tape to stop it from rattling.

I'm gonna build up as an endurance/light gravel set up, 2x with Rival 46-33 10-36, hope is going to be fine with 388mm tyre.

Nope, you can see on the pictures that there is a small foam rubber lip around the inside edge of the door and it's pretty thigh with it.

Crazy cheap during this sale period. Haven't had a chance to fit as yet, but hoping all will be ok.
Actually considering sanding down to raw carbon and lacquering to match the frame before fitting - ive done this with Giant bars before and its a lovely finish.

Curious, as ive just been looking at my storage door, and I think that is what is indeed causing the rattle I am having.
There is a small bit of foam on the bottom of the door, but nothing at the top which is where I assume the rattling is happening.
I wonder have they added more in recent builds?
I will have to find a suitably thin layer of something to cut and try on the top edge to see if it makes a difference.
Mine had been quiet for the first 3 weeks, but now is rattling to an annoying level on anything other than smooth road. Tried tightening the mechanism but that didn't help.

I know you wanted a lower front end, just looking at the numbers and the new bar should drop it 18mm.
Will you still need a new fork?
