Chloe is working with a local shipping company to arrange getting the frame picked up and shipped back to them. That way it can be repaired and then sent back to me. Waiting on the details of the shipping company but that is where it stands currently.
LC said this is the faster option as they are out of stock on 50s currently. If it is fixed and done properly, I am fine with that. I did send updated pictures to Chloe. After lightly wiping the area with a cloth to get better pictures, the paint came off. To my untrained eye, it looks like it could just be a paint chip. Chloe answered the photos may show the carbon is damaged/protruded. So they still want it back to repair none the less. I appreciate not taking the easy "you are right, it is a paint chip" and sweeping it under the rug. But wanting to get the frame back to confirm it is ok. I told Chloe I won't be riding the frame until March at the earliest, so new frame or repair is fine. I am in no rush.
I am curious to see how they solve the paint in the area once repaired. I will not accept the frame if the paint is clearly a spot repair. With a visible difference in the area the frame was repaired. I am weighing the frame before sending it back also, to make sure they don't just spray over the current paint either. As this is a new frame, I expect it to look new when received and not have unnecessary weight because of the repair.
