Hoogie: Yeah, no problem. It is pretty simple part and maybe it is even non issue for most I just personally dont like anything serrated against carbon :).

If anyone is UK based and wants to club together to get one of these made I'd be up for that - not sure the best place to get them made so suggestions welcome.

Also if anyone is interested and have access to 3dprinter, here is my design for Garmin Varia rigid holder specific to LCR018-D seatpost profile.

Big thanks to Jim from LightCarbon, he was able to sent me seatpost profile drawing in high res and thanks to that he saved me a lot of time in CAD and measuring. I think that was pretty awesome from LightCarbon.

Only thing you will need is M3 hexagon nut (there is a little cut out in holder where do you slot or push in m3 nut) and M3x20mm bolt, puck and puck bolts you can use the ones from original Varia mount.

I also recommend to use at least 3 wall loop and 25% infill (just to be sure just print it with 100% infill, it increases weight for just 2g :) ) in slicer, and PETG material for increased temperature and UV resistance.

Great, couldn't you make a nicer computer mount that's 1.5-2cm shorter and not so spoon-shaped 😄

I think he's asking if you can be persuaded to next apply your talents to designing a better outfront mount for the handlebars than the one LC provides.

It looks like I could get one of these printed per those specs for about $24 USD. I'd go for it. I could get polished titanium for $131. 😉

Yeah, computer mount is next :), this is just test first version designed perfectly around my elemnt bolt 3. So far it looks like it fits pretty good and feels pretty sturdy, but I have no idea if it is going to last and not snap. My own printed Garmin Varia mount I have been using those for years with no problem, but computer mount I have no idea.
If final version will be good to go, I will definitely share it here :).

jstrawks: Just expect maybe to have it print twice with some dimension tweaks to fit it perfectly, that 3d model is designed to dimensions whats come from my printer, maybe some other 3d printer will print slightly differently and there is specific material shrink variable. I did not test it on other printers.

If I buy the frame and need the mount, I'd risk it. If the mount is loose, I'll wrap the post with some electrical tape. If it's tight, I'll sand off some of the inner material.

Had the local company make it for me. I don't know much about 3D printing but very happy with result. I'll need to sand the mount a bit but no complaints from me. Printed in ASA, wall loop 10, 100% infill and they charged me $7.50. Once mounted to the post properly, it'll be less bulky than my other mount and half the weight.
