Hi,

I think I also need your help regarding the frame size I should order. I'm 1.85m and have a insame lenght of 88 or 88.5cm.

I would opt for a 58 size. Would you agree with me? Attached a picture from bike-stats.de (size 56/58) where I have compared my current frame I'm riding as a road bike for bikepacking, TT, bike2work, etc. since about 4 years with 20000 km so far. Pretty happy with it.

I'm running my TanTan with about 5cm spacers below and a 9cm stem.

Many thanks, Dennis

If you’re on a bike and need 5 cm of spacers, it isn’t the right frame for you .
Using that as a basis to purchase another frame isn’t the right thing to do.

If you respond with “it fits me fine” then you don’t need anyone’s help in choosing an 18-D.

Maybe take this opportunity to do a myvelofit or get a bike fit.

I agree with this. I'm normally a "you do you" no-unsolicited-advice guy, but since the advice has been solicited, well...

I'd go further and say that if your current position is a proper fit on the Tan Tan then you like a short reach and a tall stack. I'd be looking at frames that put your hands, feet and butt i the same relative position to the bottom bracket with fewer spacers and a slightly longer stem (if possible).

Unless you're truly confident that your position is optimized, the suggestion to get a bike-fit is good advice.

You may be able to find LCR018 that fits you, and you may not.

What is the most slammed solution possible? Do you need to keep that fist spacer?

Yeah. You need to add 8mm to the stack to account for the bearing cap.
It’ll also reduce the reach by a couple of mm too

Does the cap itself set it a few mm back or is it due to the heat tube angle?

Head tube angle.

For those who don’t know.
The handle bar moves closer to the seat tube, the more spacers you add.
Exact distance depends on the head tube angle and amount of spacers, but 20mm of spacers will move the bars back about 7mm on a 72 degree HT

25mm of spacers and you should add 10mm to the stem length to compensate.

Received my frame on Monday  ;D. Ordered at the end of October. Dispatched from China on 26th December, and recived on 5th January. Despite being delivered to the wrong property and left on a doorstep for a whole day in the snow, the parcel did make its way to me. On initial inspection all looks good and I am more than happy. The Ferrari Red looks as good as I had hoped. The paintwork is what I would call 95% good - which is as good as I need it to be. Excuse my messy room...

I think someone asked about fitting two storage bags in the frame some pages ago in this thread, and I don't think it was ansered. The answer is yes - two bags can be fitted! However, it should be noted that there are no internal brake hoses in the frame at the moment and the bags were empty. The first one needs to go in up the frame. The second one, down the frame towards the BB. You can't remove the upper one without removing the lower one first. I bought two bags and I though I would keep one as a spare, but it's good to know I can use both at the same time if need be.

Nice! Im impatiently waiting for someone to make an electronic pump that can fit in downtube storages. Also, the additional top tube mounts are clutch!

I’d be astounded if a Cycplus As2 Ultra didn’t fit. I’ll check when my frames delivered.
Or someone can guesstimate if they can be bothered 65mm (Length) x 47.5mm (Width) x 28mm (Height)

Thank you, I had asked. I appreciate you trying that for me! I got Ferrari Red too but your seatpost painted to match is nice. How is the fitment with paint and you'll have to let us know how it holds up after being inserted/removed a few times. Curious to see the paint does.

It fits, but not when in the frame bag. It also needs to be halfway in the opening; otherwise, the front lip of the cover can not get under the carbon, and the hinge can not be closed.

Awesome 🤗.
I’m surprised it’s so tight,  but it’s in there 🤓.

Are you in UK by any chance? Who was UK side courier with - ParcelForce? Mine also dispatched on 26th but is yet to materialise, it's been stuck 'at delivery office' since 5th, the tracking seems really flaky.

im in the UK, mine was sent with UPS i dont think the tracking is accurate because it went from departing hong kong on the 23rd to being delivered on the 24th but it was pretty quick, carol gave me the tracking number on the 19th so it only took 5 days. no fees either

Top tube mounts! What did LC charge for those?
