Are you in UK by any chance? Who was UK side courier with - ParcelForce? Mine also dispatched on 26th but is yet to materialise, it's been stuck 'at delivery office' since 5th, the tracking seems really flaky.

Yes - I'm in the UK. I didn't see who delivered this as it was left at the wrong address. I assume it was ParcelForce as the wheels I ordered previously from LC we delivered by ParcelForce.

Top tube mounts! What did LC charge for those?

There was no extra charge that I could see on my invoice  ;D.

It fits, but not when in the frame bag. It also needs to be halfway in the opening; otherwise, the front lip of the cover can not get under the carbon, and the hinge can not be closed.

Sweet, thanks for checking!

Update for those curious about fixing the paint chip on my frame, previously posted about in the forum.

In my last post, LC was going to pay for the frame to be shipped back, repaired, and then shipped back to me.

TL;DR – It took a little bit of time to deal with the situation, but we came to a solution I’m very happy with! I would buy another frame from them in the future, no questions asked.

Slightly longer version – LC said they would arrange for a shipping company to pick up the frame; I just had to box it up. After some time and no shipping details provided, that turned into me bringing it to my local EMS. I would send the frame out, and LC would then reimburse me. When I went to ship the frame, it was going to be $600, so to be safe, I did not ship it. I wanted to make sure LC was fine with the shipping amount as it was a lot. I then checked UPS/Purolator, which online estimated $2,500… wild prices to ship back a frame. I went back to LC to confirm what they wanted to do. LC again told me they would arrange the shipping back to them. After some difficulty with the shipping company, I went back to pushing for a partial refund. At this point, I wanted to put this to an end. We agreed on a partial refund that I was happy with.

To LC’s credit, Chloe was responsive the whole time. LC was very adamant about taking the frame back to fix the paint and ship it back. They wanted to solve the problem properly, even though it was WAY more costly than the partial refund. LC admitted the partial refund was less than the total shipping they would pay but still wanted to fix the frame’s paint. I pushed for the refund as I wanted to have this done now. My concern was estimating 6–8 weeks minimum to get it back—shipping both ways, repair time, and Chinese New Year. It would be getting me close to spring for the frame to be back, and then I would still have to build the frame up. Hence why I pushed for the refund, so I can fix the paint myself and then build the frame.

I give LC a solid 4.5/5 for how they handled the situation—especially when it’s very possible the damage to the paint could have been caused by shipping. They were very adamant about paying more to fix the paint properly, never pushed or initiated the cheap/easy solution, and still wanted to fix the paint when I pushed for the partial refund. Big props to LC for standing by their product. They lose the 0.5 because of the response times. Based on the time difference, we were lucky to exchange one email a day, which really draws out the communication. I only take 0.5 off for that because I knew that going into buying the frame, but it’s still part of my experience as a customer. If I build another frame in the future, LC would be considered. Based on this customer service, I would not hesitate to recommend Chloe at LC to buy a frame from.

I will post pictures of the paint repair once I’ve done it, for those who are interested.

Were you able to specify the position of the mounts, relative to the headset?

I didn't ask. They just put the mounts in the location which, I guess, is 'standard'. For reference they are positioned at 75mm and 140mm behind the stem. That's the distance from the back of where the black plastic trim sits to the centre of the mounting holes, and this is a size 52 frame (I hope that makes sense).

For those who have built up a 2x drive train - did your frame come with a FD mounting bolt? I didn't get one with my frame or my Rival E1 front derailleur. Maybe I missed it somewhere.

My Force E1 front derailleur came with that bolt if I recall correctly.

You're totally right, I looked again and found it in the derailleur box.

For those of you with this frame, I know that some frames with a similar head tube to fork interface, such as the Winspace T-1600 have an issue with paint on paint contact when the bars are turned sufficiently.

Can you tell me if the circled corner in this image makes contact with the fork if you turn the bars that far?

I created a topic on the sales sub-forum but if you have not read it, I sell my LCR018-D in size 54 like brand new because of a wrong size (with HBR17 360*110 mm and two seaposts). PM if you want.

No.

I don't disbelieve you, but those photos don't illustrate that corner not contacting the fork when the bars are turned all the way. The curve of the fork is sufficient to allow that corner to clear the fork through the entire range of motion?

To be honnest, I thought that I took a video but it was pictures instead 😅.

I did not have the bravery to take "another" video. I will do it tomorrow of nobody does this before.
