The Slipage is "common" problem in many bike manufacters west and east, for exemple 3t strada had the same problem even on newer models (not to say its acceptable) as mention before on the forum you can torque "if needed" to 10nm.
On the clamp it self say 6-8nm on the guide paper say 8-10nm, i talked to LC (Wendy) cause i had slip seatpost at 8nm torque with some carbon paste, and she confirmed with enginear staff if needed you can torque to 10 nm, i put more carbon paste and 10nm torque and  no more problems at the seatpost (not even over pot holes).

Note: no platics used 

Anyway i recommed any one with this problem to confirm 1º with their contact at LC.

I "solved" it by a wrap of plastic on the back side of the seat post, but Jim told me "The production manager said it was due to the carbon fiber layers being scratched when the seat tubes were painted black; it was a mistake by the painters during the year-end rush. " So I'm getting a new seat post. I guess you need to prove it matches the production date AND the problem persists after trying carbon paste and 10nm torque.

No visible clues except the large amount of play in the frame. Scratch might be sanding, too? There might be details lost in translation. I also had the opportunity to get a straight seat post instead of the setback, so that’s nice.

Anyone know the specs of the saddle clamp bolt and also the saddle rail bolts? Quite soft bolt heads that are already rounding. Want to replace with titanium. Thanks

The seatpost clamp on the LCR018 isn’t the best solution, and there is too much play between the seatpost and the frame. However, as others have said, seatpost slippage — unfortunately — is a common problem on many bikes. My Cube has about the same issue.

My solution:

I wrapped TESA electrical tape (2–3 layers) around the very end of the seatpost and the same further up near the clamp (once the height was roughly set). This way, the post fits tightly and even has to be pushed down into the frame.

With post diameter increased by two wraps of tape, carbon paste, and the clamp tightened to 10 Nm, there is no slipping and no movement.

PS: i do this on many bikes. Because it also prevents/lowers water ingress into the frame

This is the first mention of a new updated seatpost I've come across. It doesn't look different to me. What leads you to think there's a new updated seatpost, or that this is it?

That seatpost appears to be different to mine. I received my frame in December 2025. Mine has the textured area only on front edge - you might be able to see it in my picture. The one you show in your pic has texture all the way aroundso  will probably offer more resistance to slipping.

Incidentally, I have had no issues with slipage. I only torqued to 7nm. Maybe the paint film thickness has helped.

I’m in the building process and keep referring back to this forum for tips & tricks, very useful !!
However I seem to have an issue with the expander plug slipping out of the steerer tube when torquing up the top cap.
The plug is done up to 10Nm but comes out during the tightening of the top cap well before reaching 6Nm.
I read a lot about slipping seat posts but anyone having the same problem or knows how to prevent it?

6 N.m is too much even if it is written in the manual. Just screw until the play disappear.
