For those who installed a Shimano Front Derailleur (Di2), did you have to use the "support plate" (image below) on the "braze-on" mount, or is it ok if the screw is directly in contact with the mount (not the frame)?

EDIT: I'm asking this because, as you can see in the picture of this LCR018-D frame below, the braze-on mount is quite wide. The derailleur's support screw will rest perfectly on the metal mount itself and won't touch the carbon frame. I've read that in this specific case, the adhesive plate is unnecessary. Can anyone confirm?
