But how much should I cut under the top of the stem ? From what I’ve seen the top of the stem should be « above » where i will cut the fork

I do not have the instructions in front of me but if memory services right, the instructions say 4-5mm. Double check the instructions provided.

Rule of thumb: never cut below the upper handlebar screw. Above that, you are in principle free to choose.

Well, I am 172cm, too - but with an 81,5cm inseam and quite happy with size 52.

I am 173cm and bike fitter measured my inseam at 858mm but with my cycling shoes on. Is your 815mm measurement with or without shoes? I always thought I was pretty average so it was surprising to find out i have longer legs and how that affects the geometry I need.

It’s dumb to measure inside leg with shoes on. All shoes have different stack heights, changing your effective saddle height.
I use 6 pairs of shoes throughout the year, and each bike needs to be changed depending on the shoes.

My winter boots are far thicker than my summer carbon gravel or road shoes as an example.

Leaning towards the LCR018 in this silver chrome to black gradient. Planning to pair it with Serenade 50mm wheels (1318g) and 105 Di2 when I find a good deal. This visual shows the goal. I’m aiming for a total weight around 8 kg. Do you think it’s realistic with this setup?

Very beautiful and elegant....it reminds me a lot of the Seka Spear RDC (see photo).
I think it would be even more attractive with wheels without decals and a 55/60mm profile!
What size is it?
Does it weigh 8kg, including pedals or not?
Considering that the frame isn't particularly light, I think it's difficult to stay under 8kg (with pedals and bottle cage) with a 105Di2 groupset...I think you should opt for lighter wheels...but it also depends on the model and tire size you plan on using.

there's a video on youtube that explains the compression of the steerer column. Once you understand the physics, it starts making sense. Compression plugs have different designs, and lips of different thicknesses. Then once that's installed, you need enough space to compress the column, and there's a bit of play in the plastic spacers under the stem. 5mm is probably a good rule of thumb indeed.

Hey!

So I’ve finally been able to finish to build my LCR018 (I will upload pictures next week), but I have an issue : the saddle keep sliding to the back (I’m not talking about the sea tube, I don’t have any problem with that). Do you know if I should torque more the 2 saddle screws or add carbon paste to avoid that ?

Maybe I’ve done something wrong who knows
