Hello,

Bit of a noob question.
 
I do not want to use the HBR17 integrated handlebars on my build. But rather a 3rd party 2 piece bar+stem combo, if possible with full integration.

1- Anyone has done that? What stem would you recommend for that?
2-Should I:
    A) Ask for the HBR17 top covers and spacers and then find a stem that fits on top
or B) Get a stem with a top cover that will work with the lcr018D frame.

I was looking at the deda superbox V2 for example, it ships with 46mm and 56mm top covers.
Would that work as option B (preferably) or A? (I tired to attach a picture)

It worked, but I could not get the gap between frame and lowest part of the integrated parts, see picture, quite closed. And it was not easy to fix the play in the headset, but it worked.

I totally agree with you.
Just go ahead and take the HBR14. Simple, cheap, its proven to work...done that on my bike. No issues, if you can handle to good look ;-)

I now have somewhat over 100km on my bike. Standard cheapo BB is already making noises.... meh
I think i will go for the rotor BB and put some shims between my BB and the carbon frame to prevent the BB from eating my frame.

Update on lead times for those interested. I paid on June 17th and was told 25-35 days for size 52 frame in raw carbon glossy + 400x100 bars + C53DB wheels. 

Update yesterday (35 days post order) was that frame is 10 days away, fork 15 days and handlebar 30 days. Based on other's experiences in this thread I was expecting closer to 60 days in total so not exactly a surprise, but bizarre that their estimates are so consistently wrong.

But yea thats production for you.
Machine breaks down or bad produced batch of handlebars could be the reason or just slower production time compared to rest of bike parts.

Given that Lambda Tuning in Germany sell the LCR018 frame under their own brand and offer it with the Superbox stem, it should work

For anyone following. I got a reply from Wendy stating that the delay was due to the HBR17 size I ordered, stock needed to be manufactured first.
With that said, I opted for a wider but similar stem length, the entire assembly is being shipped now and waiting for a tracking #.

Kudos to Wendy for offering 2 BC11 bottle cages for my troubles. I am happy with LC's customer service especially coming from an overseas market.

Have you asked them whether the stem & spacers from the LCR017S-D frame set (which they don't have listed separately) fits?

On uneven roads I have some noise from front of bike. Not sure if it is GPS holder, where the Garmin plate can wiggle side to side or the brake hoses inside bars. Anybody else found the issue ? And a fix ?

After that post, I waited patiently for the tracking number, which I explicitly requested on Monday, 10 August, as I expected the order to arrive that week. I received the tracking number the next day - after the order had already been delivered to my door. The package arrived without any damage at all, so I was fairly confident the frame was fine, and a thorough inspection confirmed it.

I didn't have time to build the bike up during the week, so I finished it over the weekend. Note that I had never serviced or built a bike before. With a lot of YouTube videos, this forum and the necessary beginner mistakes, I made it work. The first 60 km are done with no issues at all (let's hope it stays that way).

I'll share some pictures, along with the specs:

I'm sorry if this has been answered. I've still got 20 pages of the thread to read, but I thought this might help. I had creaking from "down there" on another bike. I fiddled with the cranks, and it still cracked. Then I got a new Tripeak bottom bracket: cre-e-eak.  I wondered if it was my saddle, so I swapped it out Then finally one day, on there same climb it always creaked on, no creaks. It turned out it was my shoes!

I think you said it's a new bike, so your old bike with shoes was fine... But... Maybe.

Hi everyone,
I wanted to share my experiences with the LCR18 and perhaps ask for some help.
I ordered my frame on May 19th, and it arrived on Monday, July 20th (size 56cm, raw glossy carbon).
The packaging and the parcel itself survived the shipping to Germany well. During the build, I had major issues routing the 105 Di2 cable—likely due to sharp edges in the chainstay junction area. It took me two hours to get the cable through, even using a routing tool.

Build specs: 105 Di2 groupset with Magene P515, old carbon spoke Lightcarbon wheelset; total weight came to 7.9 kg including SPD pedals from ali. Carbon elitaone saddle.

I noticed creaking on the first ride, and it got significantly worse over time. I initially used the included Gineyea bottom bracket. I thought, "Okay, it must be the BB" (like the issue a fellow the English YouTuber had), so I installed a new Kaktus ceramic BB I had bought beforehand. After just 5 km, that one started creaking too. I wondered if it might be the old Magene P515 crankset, that I reused, so I swapped it for a brand-new, unused 105 crank, but the creaking returned after 5 km. I checked the frame for cracks or loose BB cups (I always apply plenty of Shimano Premium Grease before installation), but found nothing obvious. Checked and greased all of the true axles, Based on where the noise is coming from, it has to be the bottom bracket area. Strangely enough, it also creaks when you flex the frame from side to side while applying a bit of pressure, or even just when you step on a pedal. However, when the bottom bracket is removed, there is no creaking, even with lateral pressure.

Now I’ve ordered a Praxis Works BB and hope that fixes the problem.

Have any of you had similar experiences?

Edit: Saddle slipped again at 240km with 9-10Nm... it start beeing annoying at this point.

I have had no slippage with the original seat post. As a precaution, I took some clean film and put it on the sides of the seat post. Enough to give some more size to the post while letting it slide smoothly in the frame. With some carbon paste and 10nm, no issues at 88kg. Maybe worth a shot with the film.

Finally finished my LCR018 in black and silver tones.

Components:
•   Frame in size 54 raw carbon glossy finish with inframe storage
•   HBR17 handlebar (400 * 100 mm)
•   Serenade wheels, Model TAR50WS (25 mm inner 31 outer), 50 mm deep, SR278C Hubs
•   30 mm Michelin MICHELIN Pro 5 with TPU tubes
•   105 di2 groupset, 11-34 T 12 speed cassette, direct mount for rear derailleur
•   Basic Gineyea BB
•   Magene TEO with 170 mm carbon crank arm and Passquest 50-34 T
•   160 mm VXM rotor in front, 140 mm in the back
•   Cheap bottle holder (that I might change because it hinders the opening mechanism of the storage door), cheap bar tape and cheap rear lamp all from aliexpress
•   Ryet 3D saddle
•   Onirii carbon pedals

Build was quite straight forward nothing too complicated. I did use foam sleeve tubes for the brake hose.
8.5 kg as pictured (with pedals, wahoo and all my repair kit in the frame).

I did a small test ride. There is a small rattle sound but I feel it comes from the inner storage, I need to investigate. No seatpost or saddle slippage (I did put anti slip carbon grease though). My only complaints is the saddle bolts that are so difficult to tighten and the gap between the frame and the first spacer. That glossy finish is also quite fragile I already have some scratches due to chain drops or small shocks when building the bike. Finally I might redo the bleeding on my Shimano brakes because I feel the feeling can be improved.

I might change for a lighter cassette and also the saddle but other than that it is pretty much spot on.

This looks so good you have convinced me to get this for my next frame in chameleon purple/green

I am just a little bummed about the weight of these builds. I am hoping to stay under 7.5 kg with 2x, an electronic groupset and 32c tires. Will def have to be picky with stuff like bars, saddle, cranks/cassettes etc....
