I'm considering ordering together with some wheels, specifically C53DB in 60 mm (rim .RD923-60C) It's possible to get them in the ultralight version, anyone have experience with their ultralight rims, and if so do they feel fragile?

Did you ask LC about the new upgraded seatpost clamp?

Have you asked them whether the stem & spacers from the LCR017S-D frame set (which they don't have listed separately) fits?

It'll definitely fit as I swapped out that stem on my LCR017 for the HBR17 bars when they were released. It's solid but very heavy.

They already have an upgraded v2 seatpost, but ive never heard the clamp mentioned until now.

i just received a frame. seat post clamp is unchanged.

this forum is full of seat post slippage discussion, hints and fixes. dunno why people need to bring it up constantly. common problem on many frames, loads of ways to fix it and get on with our lifes

Not sure how new it is, but the old one is black on the inside and the new one is blank metal (on the friction side) with sharper edges.
I asked them about the issue - still had slippage at 9,5 nm, upgraded seatpost (grippy texture) and carbon paste. So they asked me to make a video demonstrating the slippage and then did send it to me for free.

Left is the new one, the one on the right looks a bit worn because I tried to sand it to be more grippy. The new one is a lot better though.

When was that released? I just got my bike not a month ago.
I have to check it again, but mine is all black. No shiny surface like on yours.
Oh no, that will take time till i get it.

interesting.  so no paint over the "teeth" to make it stickier and bigger "teeth" for bigger bites or more contact patch?  hope it helps.  i haven't had problems with mine but appreciate LC making continuous changes to reduce the risk of slippage issues for everyone

The so-called new one on the left might actually be a clamp from one of their other famesets, and not standard with LCR-018D.  LC might have just sent it to the OP to try and help fix his slippage issue.  Note that the clamp on the left is not the same size as the one on the right, OP how well does it mate with the LCR-018D frame as the silver faced clamp looks to be shorter?

Guys, need support, I try to install the Cema T47 bottom bracket that LightCarbon offers. I can’t get either cup to start threading by hand at all — it just keeps turning without engaging and falls straight back out. Cup on the drive side, counterclockwise. Cup with the center sleeve on the non-drive side, clockwise, correct? What could go wrong?

The so-called new one on the left might actually be a clamp from one of their other famesets, and not standard with LCR-018D.  LC might have just sent it to the OP to try and help fix his slippage issue.  Note that the clamp on the left is not the same size as the one on the right, OP how well does it mate with the LCR-018D frame as the silver faced clamp looks to be shorter?

I think it just appears to be different sized on the picture because the bolts were screwed in different amounts. Tomorrow I can measure. Nevertheless it fits perfectly. And I don’t think it’s only so-called new, because they told me that the engineers initially thought the seatpost itself were the problem (thus the new grippy version), but found out later that the clamp design is the main problem. The new surface looks milled and is really sharp.

Ok, did you get the impression that this is the clamp that will be shipped with orders going forward? My frame was supposed to have been shipped last week, it will be interesting to see which seat clamp shows up.

I have built 2 lcr018 frames now after a big crash on my first frame. My second frame came with this updated seatpost clamp 3 weeks ago, just like in the picture and is definitely different and has more bite to it. I never had problems with slip on my first frame after putting carbon paste on the smooth surfaces of the top and bottom portions of the seatpost clamp which touch the middle portion. Also dont put too much carbon fiber paste on your seatpost - less is more. I weigh 90kg.
