Has anyone had a size 56 sent to them yet?

My understanding is the end of October for production of size 56CM production, because they received so many orders.  BTW my order was placed early enough to qualify for the free storage bag.  I would assume that volume buyers come first - they bring in the revenue that pays for the molds.  And so I suspect that commercial purchases are getting the earlier October production.  Which seems fair enough, even though I'm anxious to get my frame.

I’ve ordered a 58 in early September and got the lead time of End of October for the painted frame, including the free Storage bag. Really looking forward - all other parts are sitting and waiting 🤯

Since some of us went with the Chrome/Black color and were curious about how it might turn out, I found a few pics of a different bike frame to give an idea.

Seka Chrome is more darker? So difficult to see

Thats correct the seka spear has a more greyish chrome colour whereas LC is more traditional silver-chrome. The only have silver and blue chrome available as far as i know.

I wanted the mirror/laser decal but I felt like the "LightCarbon" was a bit too in your face on the LCRO17-D frame, (referencing Hambini's video). However, it looks like the LCRO18-D is much more suited for this type of decal with its deeper tubes and aggressive lines , i think im going to go for it as well!

I was hoping to get the laser logo also but was told by Wendy it was out of stock and would cost an additional 300usd. Anyone else been told similar?

Just heard back from Carol regarding the computer mount as I enquired about the titanium one and if there will be a shorter one.
The titanium one is a bit shorter, which is better for my small Garmin.

She said it will cost $35 - I'd love to order one.
Its in development and have just emailed back to see when it would be ready to order.

I might've totally misinterpreted what i was told but from what I understood was if they have the "Light Carbon" laser logo in stock, there is no extra cost however if you're looking for a customized laser logo then its a $300-400 USD cost for the sheet. @bsharp77 was there an extra cost for you?

For the decals, I recommend running a price simulation with Speed Decals here in Italy. I’ve already had stickers made with them and the quality is excellent. If I’m not mistaken, Patrik Lino on YouTube has also worked with them.

Yes the whole decal end of things is a little strange.
I wasn’t sure about the laser silver at first and asked if they would have a gold rainbow metallic available. I was told they had a special gold chameleon but it cost $350 per sheet.
I quickly said no to that and went with the laser silver which was $35. Carol said it had been out of stock for a long time and only just available again.
I don’t really understand why they are so dear - nothing overly special I can see with them.
As mentioned already, Speedydecal do some amazing finishes so if you have custom requirements, I can fully recommend as I’ve used them before for both frame and wheel decals.

Saying all that I’m more than happy with how the laser silver turned out and even the decal design itself seems to have been thickened in comparison to older framesets and it really does match the frames aesthetic really well.

The prices mentioned (around 300 USD) really seem very expensive for a decal. Normally this service is done with a vinyl cutting machine. Some of them are huge: you load the material you want, send the artwork from the computer, and the machine cuts it. But there are several ways to reuse or optimize the sheet so that it’s not necessary to pay the price of a large sheet for just a small decal.

Yes that price for "just" a decal is pretty steep, but I was told most of that cost goes to additional steps required with frame prep and applying, so basically most of that price goes to labor. That kinda make sense to me.

So I chose just black paint and will source decals and apply them myself.

And if anyone is interested, Jim from LightCarbon was kind enough (thanks to him for amazing support) to send me vector files of their logo (I hope it is ok to post it here).

PS: I also modified one file to have round corners (for vinyl decals it is good to have them, sometimes sharp corners can get caught by rug while cleaning and then peel of a bit)
PPS: Vector files are in 1:1 ratio and logo is 40x350mm

What's going on here? Is it as uneven and crooked in real life as it looks in the picture?

What was the result? What does the finish look like in real life? Is it a straight, neat edge?
