What is real world maximum tire width WAM?

Mounted and inflated Racing Ralph measures almost exactly 51mm. I can move a 3mm measured allen key between the tire and chainstay but not without resistance.
I would say 52mm is absolute maximum.

Of course tire shape does play some part in it too.

on size XL i could not put the rear wheel in with 50mm semi-slick tire without deflating it first.

I use the wheeltop group and to mount/dismount wheels with large tires I slightly loosen the UDH

I added a shim to udh to shift the wheel back a little when putting it into the dropout. It's a design flaw. there need to be a recessed udh stop, without it the hanger is rotated forward too much

Good morning. Which thru-axle is the correct one for my bike? I have stripped the thread on mine. The original axle has a 1.0 thread pitch, and the website also specifies 1.0. Could you provide an AliExpress link for the correct replacement? Thanks

Did you have or do you have MTB tires, right? What sizes and what internal rim width are you running?

I’d like to mount a fast-rolling MTB tire, but I’m concerned about the rear wheel. I have rims with a 29 mm internal width, and the Hutchinson Tundra 45C measure 50 mm on them.

I suppose I won’t have as much of a problem at the front.

Rim internal is 17 or 19 mm. So tires blow up a bit undersized. Plus vittoria tends to blow up undersized from my reading. 50 rear you'd be fine.

I recently finished this Aerograv size small gravel build in a deep red-purple glossy finish.

Ride Impressions:
So far I’ve put about 500 miles on the bike with a roughly 50/50 split between gravel and road. This thing rips! It can genuinely replace a dedicated road bike for a lot of riding. I’ve taken it on several fast group road rides and it more than holds its own.
It’s not a full adventure/bikepacking rig, but I’ve already pushed it on some pretty chunky terrain. I’m definitely planning to try chunkier tires in the future.
Comfort-wise, it sits somewhere between my full-suspension mountain bike and my old-school aero road bike. I’ll just say it’s right in between something really fucking stiff and something with squishy.
Overall I’m very happy with how the build turned out. The assembly was relatively straightforward, and while this was a budget-conscious build, it’s definitely not a budget build.

I have had this bike for about 6 months now and put maybe 1000mi on it. Size small matte black.
Overall impressions are quite good, certainly a bit stiff and chattery but also light and not overly slack geometry. I originally picked this frame because I was going to run a dual wheelset but ended up keeping my road bike so its maybe a bit more twitchy than I would necessarily choose for a dedicated gravel bike. Only issue I have had is the headset bearings are trash and the lower one has already failed and rusted out. A real pain with the internal routing. The seatpost is also prone to getting stuck into the frame.

Clearance is sufficient with the 2.1 thunder burts which I am pleased with (4mm wrench fits between tire and chainstay). Racing unbound XL in a few weeks and if its dry ill run these and if its looking muddy ill use 45mm pathfinders or terra speeds.

Original Plan was to fit Thunder burts in 2‘1 in the back. Is impossible though. The Rims make it as wide as the Dubnital 2‘2 (53mm vs 53,4mm).

Happy with the Offroad abilities of the Steed. Paint Quality is bad though, very easy to rub it off.

It will be used both as a Road & Gravel bike, therefore the 2x Shimano Grx, Mechanical.

Hi!

I’m currently in the process of building up my bike. I’ve got almost everything set up, the only thing left is the front derailleur.
I’m trying to run an R7100 Di2 front derailleur with a 52/36 chainring, however I can’t seem to mount it high enough using the included front derailleur hanger.
Does anyone have experience running this frame with a 2x setup? Is a 50T chainring the maximum, or maybe even smaller?

It will be used both as a Road & Gravel bike, therefore the 2x Shimano Grx, Mechanical.
