Availability depends on your size. Afaik only size 'M' is currently in production and 'L' will be next.
The only real alternative is TideAce Noah / GR201.

Ordered size XL with a planned shipping date at the end of June but now it was pushed to "maybe end of july" so I would peobably be lucky to get it by the end of summer. Since I've already sold my gravel bike to make a room for a new bike it's really annoying so I'm thinking about cancelling and getting an ican graro instead.

The T47 x 86.5 standard used on this frame is for an inbound BB, is that right? Like this: https://wheelsmfg.com/bottom-brackets/t47/t47-inboard-abec-3-bb-for-29mm-sram-dub-cranks.html
Hoping to use this with the EVOSID MTB https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005007160396920.html cranks here. The cranks do state they'll work with MTB or road widths (68 or 73), but I guess I'll need 5mm of spacers?

VB is known to over promise on timelines. They are a broker, not a factory, and they sell a lot of frames at the cheaper end of the spectrum, which means it's in their interest to book sales and worry about things later. When they give you fake deadlines, they probably aren't outright lying, they can always say that the factory had unforeseen delays. You dont buy a VB for the white glove service, let's say.
I ve bought 4 frames from them.
My advice: just like you shouldnt buy a phone because it promises you features down the road that currently dont exist (i'm looking at you apple), you shouldn't buy a VB that's not in stock.
Also, it's inherently riskier to order the 1st frames coming out of the mould vs a model that's been in production for 6+ months.
And VB has a history of modifying things on the fly, such as the C ring that needed changing to get rid of headset play.
Also, btw: it's a 500$ frame, via a broker. Which means you have 2 mouths to feed, not one (if going straight to the factory / OEM). So, while they have volume discounts, it's still a layer that can be avoided.

Do you know who makes the frames for VB?
I have a VB roadbike and pretty happy with it

VB has been selling open moulds designs, but also models i havent seen anywhere else, so they might own some moulds.

Never found their TT frame elsewhere. Guess it's one of these owned moulds..
