I'd be very worried about that price when a full group set is £700 from a legit supplier like Anrancee and the missing parts are worth £100. I decided the risk/reward ratio for Di2 wasn't worth it from China so just went with mechanical 105 for £300.

That was including an ae coupon £95, store coupon £60 off, plus some amount got taken off for tax, which i will have to pay at this end.

Just updating on my order from Anrancee. It was shipped very late but arrived in 3 weeks to Finland. I paid for the faster shipping Aliexpress standard instead of Cainio heavy parcel line. Declared 100€ value and it was sent by UPS express saver and it didn't even stop at customs so no extra cost. All is working well.

You might get lucky with the tax but if not that's 20% extra for VAT plus whatever charges the courier imposes for collecting it.

They typically declare a low value for tax purposes though. Ordered some grx shifters from anrancee at a cost of about 350 dollars, which got stopped by customs. They gave me an extra 12 dollar bill on a 30 dollar declared value slip. That would mean i paid a percentage of the 30 with the stupid handling fees on top.

My recent 105 groupset from Anrancee seems to have got through without any customs fees at all to the UK but I'd budgeted for it to potentially cost ~25% more to effectively compare prices.

Looks like anrancee and other Ali sellers stopped shipping to the US as of today.. My anrancee order from a week or so ago has shipped but is still in China. Unsure if it will make it over here due to the de minimus removal. Will follow up in this thread.

Just bought a Shimano r7170 minigroupset from Yiwu donglue on aliexpress (same sellers as anrancee I believe?) for ~$600 USD shipped to Canada. Anyway, they said that the di2 battery cant be shipped with Aliexpress standard, so they are shipping with UPS instead.

Will update once I recieve it! :)

I strongly recommand it again.

Their site's shipping policy page seems to imply they don't do prepaid taxes, what gives?

I’m curious whether warranty would hold up if purchasing from cyclegears? If not, it may be better to buy from Xianyu to save 20-30%.

I am also interested in warranty issues. Latelly I had many with current Ultegra and GRX Di2.
Would local Shimano in your country (in EU) allow repair under warranty for their group bought from Asia?

That was my first question on the 1st page of the thread. I dont think anyone has actually tried, but i suspect that no, shimano EU would not recognize your products. Shimano in Asia is known to be much cheaper, which makes Shimano in EU openly price gouging (maybe even worse in the US, isk). I can't see Shimano recognizing grey market products bought out of Asia from random sellers on aliexpress. It would go against their own interests, bike shops networks, European retailers and so on.

At the very least, this would be my assumption if i bought Shimano stuff from Alix. Becomes an actuarial calculation whether you'd rather pay more and (hope to) be covered by your LBS if something happens, or pay less upfront and hope nothing breaks.

I'm somewhat surprised Shimano doesn't geo-lock or require a local distributor/retailer to activate Di2 componentry when they're connected to the e-tube app to prevent OEM product being sold consumer direct.

For those doubting to pull the trigger, based on this sub I decided to get both an ultegra Di2 (without crank) and a full 105 Di2 from anrancee store on aliX (to the Netherlands) closing in in about 1650 eu total. Everything went smoothly but was nerve wrecking. As other had noted the store contacted me saying that the declared value would be set to 110 EU. After this a tracking was provided on aliX which did not update up until 2-3 before delivery. At delivery I had to pay approx. 40 EU additionally for import and taxes which was about 1/10th of that what I expected, should I needed to pay it in full. Overall the experience was good once things got rolling. Packaging was superb, everything was individually wrapped in paper and bubbles. Now the long wait for the frame starts
