I can also recommend the ZEN 25mm internal. I want to use it for my winter/commuter bike, so as an all-rounder. Currently winter tires with 32mm – planning something a little faster for summer, up to 35mm. I also find the new Vapor very interesting; you can definitely build a great setup with it.

I was inspired by Sander2177—thank you! And the contact with Zara from ZEN was great. I am satisfied with the result.

i don't really care about weight, I want aero and comfort. I already have a light wheel set. 29 internal with 35 or so external will pair really well with 32s.

We have a 50mm depth with 25mm internal width 32mm external at the bead and 34mm at the rim.
However if you are looking for something wider we have available rim options to suit with multiple rim weight options if weight is not a concern

After selling a couple of wheelsets, I ordered another set of Zen wheels the week before last for my upcoming Quick Pro build:
65/65mm rims, 25mm internal width, paired with the R2 hub in silver and 3.95mm spokes.

Now that Zen can source THR hubs, I initially ordered the THR RX hub. However, I was fortunate to cancel it in time. The carbon spokes I was considering weren't suitable for the setup, and the RX hub can't accept anything wider than a 2.3mm spoke. The more appropriate spoke options were heavier, which ultimately defeated the purpose in terms of both weight and cost.

As a result, I reverted to the R2 hub with 3.95mm spokes.

I'm still considering switching to 3.1mm spokes for a slight weight saving, and I'm also exploring whether there's a lighter, more suitable option available elsewhere — perhaps something in the middle ground around 3.4mm–3.5mm.

Estimated wheelset weight is 1292.5g.

There are lighter 395g rim options available with a 90kg load limit, but I've opted for the 425g version rated at 100–110kg for added strength and durability. The lighter rims would bring the total weight down to around 1232.5g. I could also have selected ultra-light 230g traditionally laced hubs, which would reduce the wheelset to 1177.5g, and with 3.1mm spokes potentially as low as 1104g.

That said, while I appreciate weight savings, I prioritise performance and reliability. What I've chosen represents a sensible balance between weight, strength, and real-world performance.

Vaporlite Ultra 50's arrived (ordered 14.01). Actual weight 991g so well within the margin (XDR freehub). Shaving another 10g with titanium ratchets I'll be trying out in coming season.
Visually high quality as expected. Hubs are really looking nice and has a rubber seal between hub and freehub body, ratchet system uses just one spring. TPI bearings rolling smooth.
Can only be picky about the stickers. One letter was loose, many have sharper ends loose and not sticking back, which means I'll probably have to remove them after some use. Unless I find a way to make them stick. Not really an issue as they are just stickers. Overall very happy with the wheels. Have to wait for the snow/ice to melt to try them out. Pirelli PZero 28/30mm will be mounted on them soon.

I use them on my gravel and road bike, they are fine. Installing an xcadey powermeter was a hassle cuz the fit was really tight. Now running it with directmount chainring and that went on perfeclty fine.
